Will Trump Be Impeached?
MSN News ^ | November 16, 2016 | T.A. Frank

Do a LexisNexis search, and you’ll find that “Trump” and some variant of “impeach” have already appeared in 37 newspaper headlines. (Duplicates are at play, yes, but let’s not get in the way of a striking statistic . ) Documentarian Michael Moore has vowed to look for the first impeachment opportunity and do what he can to help spur it along. Law professor Christopher Lewis Peterson of the University of Utah has written a paper arguing that Donald Trump can technically be impeached immediately, provided that Trump University is judged to be as fraudulent as it looks. Allan Lichtman, the American University professor who predicted Trump’s win, also predicted Trump would be impeached. Clearly, no one’s wasting time on this. So what are we to make of it?

The leftist attack upon Trump is just beginning. The left will certainly try to impeach him. People must realize that we are in the early stages of the coming Social War.

Ironic. Part of the reason Hillary lost was because the FBI all but declared she could not be impeached.

Impeachment is a political process, not a judicial one. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter WHAT the president does, it only matters what his accusers try to pin on him and whether or not they can convince enough politicians to agree. If anyone ever deserved to be impeach, it was/is Obama, but the political will did not exist, sadly, to do so. Therefore, I don’t see any way Trump will be impeached for a “technicality” that Michael Moore tries to drum up.

Thanks for the info. I would still say that it won’t happen while the republicans hold both house and senate. (1) It would destroy their own brand, but, more importantly, (2) the sea of red that voted for Trump covers just about all of their seats. There would be terrible backlash at home.

Any hope that an imagined crime like Trump University, a legal case prior to his presidency, will result in a ‘high crime’ is a misplaced hope. First, he won’t be convicted of disappointing a few disgruntled customers who couldn’t follow through on real estate sales making themselves rich. Second, voters already knew about this and voted for Trump anyway.

So, that sea of red will be revolted at those supposedly on their team stabbing their own elected president in the back.

Exactly, but try to tell that to a liberal who thinks Trump will go to prison over it.

Nobody has ever accused your average liberal to be a ball of fire in the brains department.

Fitness for office is not part of impeachment

High crimes and misdemeanors ....which has a notoriously loose definition

Just quote back to them everything the same Dems said in 1998 about BJ Clinton and “Republicans trying to undo the will of the people”.

On what charges??? He hasn't been given oath yet...and he hasn't broken any laws or it would have been all over the media, talking heads and pundits...

Liberalism is a mental disease: Doing the same exact thing over again and again hoping for a different result...

It pure BS. There are NO criminal investigation into Trump. There are a bunch of wack job civil suits that were brought by Clinton activists to try and influence the election. Those will disappear now. Old Leftist political trick to file a lawsuit during an election then drop it after.

No, he will not be impeached.

Here’s a better question: Will Hillary be convicted for her many crimes? Yes, I certainly hope so.

When are the conservatives going to call the libs on all the crap they throw. I was hoping Trump might be the president to lead in the turning on the libs. The libs have been allowed to throw absolute stupidity into the media for so long, without anyone nailing them to the cross for it.

Here is the process for impeachment:

The U.S. Constitution provides impeachment as the method for removing the president, vice president, federal judges, and other federal officials from office. The impeachment process begins in the House of Representatives and follows these steps:

The House Judiciary Committee holds hearings and, if necessary, prepares articles of impeachment. These are the charges against the official.
If a majority of the committee votes to approve the articles, the whole House debates and votes on them.
If a majority of the House votes to impeach the official on any article, then the official must then stand trial in the Senate.
For the official to be removed from office, two-thirds of the Senate must vote to convict the official. Upon conviction, the official is automatically removed from office and, if the Senate so decides, may be forbidden from holding governmental office again.

But for anyone to even mention the possibility of an impeachment is really stupid as impeachment is a political process. It has nothing to do with civil law. So what these idiots are doing is trying to connect impeachment to a civilian who holds no position in the government until mid January.

So where are the conservatives jumping down their throats for lying and threatening a private citizen with an atttack based upon something they can’t do displaying obvious slander and liable? Nice job GOP!!!

First, he will have to take office. January 20, 2017 is when that will happen. Should he commit an impeachable offence after that date, chances of impeachment would go way up.
