There are so many rumors about so many people in this transition period of Trump’s administration, I’m not going to even speculate anymore on Chris Christie or anyone else.

BRIDGE GATE!

But to keep things in perspective, may be ONE ambulance was delayed by bridge gate, and media has gone berserk.

In Portland, OR riots, dozens of emergency vehicles were delayed, but media is all crickets.

Christie could very well wind up with serious legal problems in NJ.That alone is reason enough to cut him loose.

Media is now shilling for Christie. I saw an article in our local paper that was written by Bezos' rag Washington Post that lamented Christie being ousted but with no mention of Bridgegate as one of the motivating factors.

This would give credence to your thought.

I think you may be on to something. The leaks from inside the Transition Committee seem to be drying up. They have to have a hissy fit about a private family dinner because that is the only news available.

My guess, and it’s only a guess, is that DJT got some inside info from the SS or other agency that there may be some messy investigations coming down the pike from NJ concerning C and his henchmen....................

He already has a job. Sometimes the simplest explanation is the correct one.

I think that must be it. Too much incoming baggage. Too bad though. Christie has a lot of skills we could use, but in the correct circumstance. Maybe he’ll be part of the team later.
I’m sure his being put on the back burner has delighted the Libs. If this was done to appease his Son In Law Kushner, out of revenge, then that’s wrong. Maybe Kushner’s dad needed to be prosecuted by Christie. A crime is a crime.

Christie got a lot of cred from GOP state parties and other Republican governors for his work as head of the Republican Governors Association. He excelled at fund-raising.

Rumors are that he refused to cooperate with background checks to be Romney’s VP, and the Trump team also backed away from him after closer inquiries into his background. (Can any NJ FReepers share scuttlebutt from there?)

It may not be that he’s a ‘snake’, but there is something about Christie that a lot of high-profile people don’t want associated with them.

Christy was a traitor to Tom Tancredo when he spent $175,000 so sink the Tancrado bid for Governor of Colorado.

You may have a point re Kushner wanting revenge. If that is true, then I hate to see him having this kind of power. Christy was one of the first to support Trump at a time when he needed this support, and Christy was effective in debates, shut down Rubio, overall a good speaker.

Christie is 100% for Christie, end of story. He did a GOP convention keynote that was ONLY about himself. He showed the national convention the same video he uses to promote himself in NJ.

He has kicked the budgetary crisis down the road in NJ and all those bills are coming due. Other than fighting the teachers union because they were his enemy, he enacted no true reform.

And the ballyhooed former US Attorney made deals with the democrats and did nothing to prosecute democrat corruption as governor.
