Former Obama Spokesman Threatens Trump Over Media Access… Posted
Conservative Treehouse ^ | November 16, 2016 | Sundance

In the continuing media saga/melt-down over President-Elect Donald Trump’s audacity to eat a meal in a restaurant with his family we find the following quote from former Obama administration spokesperson Tommy “Dude” Vietor:

Former Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor emails:

The White House Correspondents Association has to be ready to respond much more forcefully if Trump continues to ignore long-standing traditions of press access. That’s especially true for the five network bureau chiefs who hold most of the power.

I’d like to see them publicly detail their expectations as well as the potential repercussions if those demands continue to be ignored.

“......if Trump continues to ignore long-standing traditions of press access.”.....

So Trump takes his family to dinner WITHOUT the press dragging along? Who do those as%hole press people think they are, a gift to society? Screw them! Trump owes them ZERO for their dishonesty all through this and previous past elections.

The press access is tradition only to the press...Trump will do as he wishes pertaining to the press and as long as the press acts like arrogant babies, they will continue to be on the short end...

There is no law requiring the press to even be allowed on the grounds, much less given offices in the WH and nice cozy warm spaces to craft their propaganda and lies.

Make them stand out in the cold and rain like their predecessors did in the 1800’s and early 1900’s.

Letting them in the door was a huge mistake....................

"...as well as the potential repercussions if those demands..."

So this obviously retarded chimp feels the heads of the "5 major news organizations" have it within their purview to threaten the President-elect?

They better pray to whatever venal demigod they honor that Trump doesn't come after them with everything in his soon-to-be unmatched presidential bully-pulpit arsenal. They may find themselves out of a job...

Trump should have just the small citizen press to be the White House press including only the outlets that report real news.

Trump should expand the White House web site to include video of his speeches, and the President’s blog. Have it be the case that the MSM gets no access that isn’t also equally given to every little blog, and indeed anybody who chooses to go to the whitehouse.gov site to see for himself.

Have reporters submit questions via email. Trump’s office will pick what questions to answer, and will post the question and its answer on whitehouse.gov for all the world to see. Have it be the case that Drudge and Breitbart have at least as much chance of getting their questions addressed as CNN and the NY Times do.

Completely destroy the modia’s status as the gatekeeper for access to the President’s views.

Trump's response should be: (From Braveheart)

Your five network bureau chiefs must cross Soldier Field, present themselves before Ann Coulter, put their heads between their legs, and kiss their own arses.

This is rich.

They lived on their knees this entire admin, wiping their mouths when they received their marching orders and dutifully wrote/reported word for word what BO told them to say.

Repercussions? Like the ones they issued when Obama ushered his Muslim friends into the big tent next to the White House for??? Oh that's right, we don't know what it was for because Obama blocked the press.

I’m still wondering why the press pool considers themselves “protective.” One reporter said it’s a matter of national security because what if something happened to Trump while he was away from them? So what would the journalists do? Shoot a criminal with their cameras? He had his secret service with him, and THAT’s protective.

I thought I had recognized the name - this is the 'dude' guy who sluffed off Benghazi.

In May of 2014, 19 months after the Benghazi attack, on Bret Baier's Special Report (Fox News), Bret asked him about changing the CIA report wording before releasing it.

BAIER: Did you also change attacks to demonstrations in the talking points?
...
VIETOR: Dude, this was two years ago. We're still talking about the most mundane thing.

This guy DEFINES partisan smarmy!

Agree. He owes the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party nothing. They deserve to be considered neither advisers nor decision makers. They can read his tweets like anyone else, and watch him on Hannity.

For as long as I can remember, these twits have considered themselves as integral to the decisions of Presidents, Senators, and House members. They were the Gods of the media Olympus who oversaw the proper running of Government, as they perceived it should run. They and only they, had the opinions, suggestions, and criticisms that mattered. They wanted to be in essence, leaders without holding the office. But instead of being neutral, they took it upon themselves to "attack the right, cover for the left". No Democrat scandal was too big to ignore, no Republican was too small to make a mountain out of a mole hill. Please Mr. Trump, do as was suggested by one of the posters, make the pompous farticussess stand outside in the rain and snow. Make them book their own flights and hotel rooms. And every now and then, tell them you are going to one city, and then change plans and go to in an opposite direction. The Democrat propagandists are only deserving of piles of compost.
