In the continuing media saga/melt-down over President-Elect Donald Trump’s audacity to eat a meal in a restaurant with his family we find the following quote from former Obama administration spokesperson Tommy “Dude” Vietor:

The White House Correspondents Association has to be ready to respond much more forcefully if Trump continues to ignore long-standing traditions of press access. That’s especially true for the five network bureau chiefs who hold most of the power.
I’d like to see them publicly detail their expectations as well as the potential repercussions if those demands continue to be ignored.

That would create a hissy fit that would be fun to watch.

Trump should also decline to attend the annual White House Correspondents Dinner. It’s a ridiculous spectacle, almost as bad a President’s appearing on late night talk shows.
As a minimum, I would demand that the current White House Correspondents be retired, rotated out or just put out to pasture saying it is time for the bias to stop. Show me with some correspondent picks of people that love this country and card carrying liberal zealots.
Trump talks to people on Twitter. He ignores the press. They hate he will make them obsolete.
They tried to pull this crap on the Obamanation of Desolation when, he was a candidate in 2008 and took his daughters “Trick or Treating” on Halloween. He basically told them in no uncertain terms to “F**K Off and leave us alone. This is not a campaign event.” (Literally that is what he said to the reporters following him) It is one of the few things he’s done that I agreed with. He and his family, especially the daughters have a right, as much is possible to a normal childhoods.
The difference is that other reporters took the Obamanation of Desolation’s side in the argument and he got an apology from the reporters following him.
And if Trump tells them to buzz off what is the press going to do - start saying bad things about him?
I think he should forego the ‘state of the union speech’ as it is now conducted.
He should pick a different time, place, and format.
Obama should completely shun the MSM. They are part of the Democratic Party machine and shouldn’t even be issued credentials at the White House

Let me get this straight....
The man wants to eat a meal with his family in peace. And he’s not even the president yet....
And the media has a problem with this???
I can only imagine the outrage when he refuses to allow them to follow him into the Mens room....

If I were DJT, I would grant press access only on condition of each coming before him and confessing to the at-least year and a half long massive propaganda campaign they conducted on him and force them to broadcast same. And I would publicly announce that he was conducting such a directive for the purpose of restoring credibility to an industry that have abased itself to where 80% of Americans trust the media any more. I would rigorously enforce it. And until such a time as they performed such a public apology and confession, I would bar them from covering press conferences, etc; and leave it at that.

“Tradition” is not law, it is a privilege.
When the press reports truthfully without progressive propaganda, maybe then you will have regained the trust of the President and We the People.

Any Reporter or Journalist that has made Deliberate False Statements or Misrepresented FACTS in any way, SHALL be PROHIBITED from the White House Pool.
