The M4 carbine rifles from SIG Sauer are destined for the Philippine National Police.

I thought Sig Sauer was an Austrian or German company? How is this a deal with the US?

Maybe arming our agencies was partly stockpiling wholesale goods for future enrichment?

While SIG Sauer is a company with German and Swiss roots, since the 1990’s the company has been based in the United States and had most of its manufacturing done here

I’m guessing that the Sig M4s are made in a factory here.

There is a long history of Sig Sauer. I'm a big Sig fan and used to follow the transition from Switzerland to Germany to Exeter, New Hampshire.

.

Very few pistols are produced any longer in Germany (DE).

The exceptions are the high end, match grade pistols like this on from their German custom shop.

This, and my Dan Wesson Valor are my two most accurate and fun to shoot pistols.
