GOOD NEWS! Trump-Basher Paul Ryan May Not Have 218 Votes for Speaker
Gateway Pundit ^ | Saturday November 12, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 11/12/2016 11:07:53 AM PST by GilGil

Paul Ryan spoke out against Republican nominee Donald Trump ALL YEAR. Ryan announced in October he was pulling his endorsement of Donald Trump. He held a separate press conference to tell reporters he would not campaign with Donald Trump.

Paul Ryan cannot be trusted. He is loyal to the elites and not the people.

Paul Ryan is pro-amnesty, big government, pro-TPP and anti-American worker.

Donald Trump won an historic election on Tuesday winning 306 electoral votes.

But Republican lawmakers do not respect their base. They are voting this coming week to reinstate Paul Ryan as speaker.

But Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp says Paul Ryan may not have the votes to keep the gavel.

You’re forgetting a new Speaker will have Trumps support. That is all that’s needed to control the membership.

If Ryan remains speaker, I’ll blame Reince Prebius. This is Reinces chance to show he is not an Establishment player. (Which he is)

New blood in the Speak chair is needed.

“Heller, Flake, Corker and Hatch are up and they all voted for Gang of Eight. “

Which is why the rumor that Corker was being considered for a cabinet position was shocking—sure hope it’s a rumor that he alone planted

Ryan should be isolated from Public Work.
Useless and typically Irish Backstabber.
Good Post.

The Speaker of the House does not have to be a House member. Ryan would still be in leadership, but we would have a strong leader. Too bad Newt won’t run, or will he?!?!

exactly, they will vote him back in. It doesn’t matter who we want, or who Trump wants, its what the establishment wants. Trump is smart enough to use Facebook and Twitter to reach the people, as he knows the media is rigged, and the Republican congress is a spineless uniparty.

The Uniparty establishment wants as many of their stooges as possible inside the Trump administration to hobble it.

DRAIN THE SWAMP !! All of it !

PARTICULARLY get rid of the RINOs in Leadership, THEY MUST GO or Trump will get more resistance from his own adopted GOP party than the GOPee ever mounted against Obie Hussein Soetoro Obama in the past 6 years the GOPee was in control.

Half probably want his head for not supporting Trump and the other half for supporting Trump.

This would be the first clear message to the Congress that there are consequences to trashing Trump. Letting Ryan hear the words " you are fired" would go a long way to getting some necessary cooperation with these Never-Trumpers. All they understand is force and loss of everything dear to them.

Agreed and well stated, I hope Ryan goes. I saw him sitting next to Trump during the presidential visit and he looked like a little kid, couldn't wipe the smile off his face, he looked very undeserving like he won the Presidency of something ...

Agreed, and the press will say “See, even his own party is against him ...” he needs to get rid of those who were not on board the Trump train and right now.

Are there any solid hitters to step up and challenge Ryan? Absent any serious challenges, he'll be back. Like a bad virus.

The only better thing than this would be for Louie Gohmert to take the top slot.

I’d like to see a new speaker and Let Paul Ryan work his way back into Trump’s good graces.

Facilitating Trump’s economic goals is certainly a possibility if he’s promised a lollipop or two. Unfortunately, he’s not predictable in his commitment to conservatism.

Ryan has been a great disappointment, but his compromises may have also diffused motivation from the Left this election season.
