The mainstream media are reporting that President-elect Donald Trump is giving up on his promise to repeal and replace Obamacare, because he said he would be willing to preserve coverage for pre-existing conditions and allowing children to stay on their parents’ health insurance until age 26.

Government subsidized health care for people with preexisting conditions is not insurance. It’s welfare. It’s a new $25 billion welfare program and it isn’t going away. Trump needs a work around to get through that minefield.
I hope that Trump gives us a brief state-of-the-union address every day, but at least every week.

There is usually a kernel of truth in media lies. Obamacare is a huge mess. Unwinding it is a nightmare.

Those were always in Ryan’s repeal and replace legislation. In truth it could have been done without scrapping the entire existing system in the first place. CA had a high risk pool for decades. Each provider had to carry a percentage of those people at reduced rates in proportion to their percentage of the market. There was also a waiting period to discourage people from waiting until they are sick to apply. I’m not saying it’s an ideal solution, but it shows they didn’t need to destroy the private system to fix the problems.
I see the media has started early.
They’ll be trying to de-legitimize and denigrate him any way they can.
So ignore them, like we did for the election. Like the MAJORITY of the Country for the election.
Relegate them to the irrelevance they deserve.
