In my commonwealth, Kentucky, we have a republican majority for the first time in a century. And last year we elected the first Republican governor in decades. Change is afoot.
Losing NV legislature sucks but gains elsewhere more than made up for it.
How does that bode for a Convention of States?
This is just awesome. 69% of state legislative bodies are R. Reinstate the 10th Amendment and let’s rock and roll!
Oh but Trump was going to ruin the down ticket prospects for republicans according to our ROOM KINGS. Now their nightmares have come to reality. It’s all up to them.
Repeal the 17th amendment now! That would give us a veto proof senate with 66 members!!
Why would one be needed? Republicans have it all. They have no more excuses.
That’s great news!
Here in NC, we maintained control of both the NC Senate and the NC House despite the hugely divisive “HB2 or the infamous bathroom law”.
The governor’s race is, however, not good. The Republican governor is losing by several thousand votes....but the provisional votes have not all been counted yet.

There is still time to donate for this good cause and to PRAY!
Yup.
Ryan and McConman are not longer able to blame doing nothing on Obama.
He will no longer be around in 2017.
Change starts at the state and local level.
Let that sink in: “both chambers in 33 states”
Repubs lets hope they do not blow it like in the past!!!!
Maybe new day.....
And all the RINOs thinking it would be a disaster.
Sounds like Nevada is being overrun by Californians.
So sorry to hear that!
We may be at a point where the support for such a repeal exists.
republican does not equal conservative though. lots of former dims have just switched the letter to stay or get elected.
Excellently!
Since, it is out of the hands of the governors, and completely in the hands of the bicameral legislatures (plus Nebraska, with a single legislature).
As long as Sandoval maintains an inkling of Constitutional sense NV should be OK. Too many liberal CA transplants in this state.....
If The President-Elect can infuse congressional Republicans with some courage I agree. But given the craven nature of many congress critters and that the Senate Democrats will try to filibuster as much as they can, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to try to reign in those who seek to undermine the Constitution. With this many state legislatures in the “R” column, we may never get another opportunity.
In WV the GOP expanded its hold on the legislature, proving 2014 was no fluke. Unfortunately they elected another Rat for governor. I am told the race was between two crooks and the land of my ancestors picked the bigger crook!
Unfortunately that habit continues!
