Great point to refute incoming claims of illegitimacy. Can Freepers contribute numbers from your state as to the number of absentee votes that will NOT be counted in the final popular vote

The media will never admit it even if it were proven black and white.

That doesn’t sound right. Count the damn votes.

Who the hell even cares?
Ask President Al Gore how much the national popular vote matters.
To: chiller
Wouldn’t the Military votes be included in those absentee votes??
To: chiller
An excellent reason to never vote early or absentee. Way to easy for the votes to get “lost”.

Can someone give me the actual count published? I know the conversation is that it isn’t accurate but as of yesterday, it was very close. But I can’t find an update.
To: chiller
Usually, it is the vote of our military and maybe college students.
To: Sacajaweau
yes which if this is correct, and they are not counted pisses me off. My Marine son voted absentee, and he certainly should have his vote counted.

Normally, I’d say ‘who cares’, but in the case of different winners (popular v. electoral) they must be counted. Ask George W.

Not reported yet, but Trump won Michigan by 13,200 votes.
Trouble makers are asking Electoral College reps to vote for Hillary in protest. We will make it impossible if Trump gets over 300 Electoral College votes, which he appears to have.

She did win all the machine changed votes, the deadfolks' votes, the non-citizens' votes and the multiple votes. Subtract them from the mix and Trump wiks pretty handily, perhaps very handily. That is all probably why there was no rush of lefty lawyers to the courts to challenge the election in close Trump states. The Dems know that Trump's party (not the Republicans) is keenly watching for fraud and a challenge would be dangerous to the challenger.

It doesn't matter. The more we try to show Trump "won" the popular vote, the more it legitimizes the other side's case that it's relevant. The national popular vote has absolutely no bearing on the election of a president.
Trump will likely finish with 306 electoral votes - well over the 270 needed. He is the undisputed President-Elect. We need to move away from this popular vote nonsense.

Not counting their votes is unacceptable. Even if it doesn’t change the outcome it means, at least it’s supposed to mean, that ever vote counts and is counted.

I’m finding all the major news outlets are not updating the results any more. All giving different EV and popular vote counts.

I honestly did not know that. Seems to me the absentee ballots should be recorded.
If not for history's sake then for those service men and women who deserve to have their vote officially counted!

Several times in my life I've cast an absentee ballot knowing that I'd be out of the country on Election Day (each time it was before the advent of "early voting").I once asked the elections clerk at Town Hall if all absentee ballots are counted, thinking they might not be in the case of a blowout result, and she said yes.IIRC she said that state law (Massachusetts) requires it.
It would appear that that's not true in all states.
