Post Election Night Data – Did The Monster Vote Show Up?…
Conservative Treehouse ^ | 11-10-2016 | Sundance

The short answer is yes and no. The monster vote showed up for Donald Trump, in specific regions.

However, the cocktail class republicans stayed home or voted for someone else in other regions.

When we originally (February ’16) forecast the possibility of a 73M general election vote for Donald Trump, we held the following caveat:

[…] The question is, how many Republicans will stay home (anyone but Trump) and how many Democrats will stay home (anyone but Clinton)?

While some Republicans may refuse to vote for Trump it’s doubtful they will vote for Hillary. However, inversely, a fair amount of Democrats who refuse to vote for Clinton will likely cross over and vote for Trump. (link)

While there is some data still outstanding, it appears there was a stronger than anticipated coalition of traditional republicans (GOPe strain) that did not vote, or perhaps voted for Clinton or a different candidate. (emphasis mine) This depressed the top-line national vote total.

Fortunately, non traditional republican voters turned out significant enough quantities to offset the GOPe losses.

Significant number of NeverTrump voted as they had been threatened to do.

Now, they want to join us 'save the Republic and Republican party', all in the name of unity.

basically what happened was.. in states where it would actually matter the Monster vote turned out, elsewhere they just stayed home or voted for someone else, because it didn’t matter anyway.

In Texas everyone here knows their vote doesn’t really matter so few feel real compelled to make an extra effort to vote or either side.

The monster vote did not show up.

The monster vote I am referring to was the huge wave of African Americans that turned out for Obama in 2008 and 2012. Exit polls show that the presence of black Americans was down dramatically in this year’s election. Clinton could not attract the same level of blacks as Obama, which explains why Obama and his wife were so omnipresent in the final weeks of the campaign. It also explains why so many DNC media polls were wrong - they used 2012 turnout data that did not reflect the reduced turnout of blacks in 2016. Blacks simply didn’t have the same level of enthusiasm for the white woman as the did for the black man.

They didn’t turn out for Trump, but more importantly they didn’t turn out for Clinton.

Remember this over the next few days as you hear the pundits and protesters blame “racism” for Clinton’s defeat. It was racism - but not white racism.

That was my theory early on.

Those people in deep deep blue states know their votes don’t count, so they can preen and strut amongst the like-minded to show the world their purity.

While the people in hotly contested states/counties know better, that there are only TWO choices.

Yep, and the same in deep red states like Texas.

“Now, they want to join us ‘save the Republic and Republican party’, all in the name of unity. “

Not gonna happen. These neverTrump traitors must be driven out and kept out because they will spend every waking minute as subversives.

“do we know how many Evangelical came out for Trump?”

I heard this morning that Evangelicals turned out in force for Trump. I believe the report included that Trump received more of their votes than did Romney.

The real questions are what will happen in the future? If an election is determined by only 10 states then why bother to vote? Like in Alaska?

It was like a shot that had far better aim than it had power. A skosh under half the popular vote; a wide grip on the Electoral College.

Donald did it even better than most traditional politicians, and here he is a newbie.

This is supernatural and I’m grinning from ear to ear.

It needed to grab the others too to get their EV’s.

Talk about “10 states determining an election” is predicated upon others staying the way they usually go. But no candidate should take the others for granted, and few do.

How many votes were stolen from Trump by crooked voting machines?

And will we ever know?

That’s a shame, because the votes of Texans matter for Donald Trump’s popular vote number.

The vote turned out in the places he had a chance. Kalifornia and NY are examples where the “cocktail republicans” (code for liberals who know that conservatism is good but can’t bring themselves to support it) were under the illusion they were making a relevant statement.
