Before she left for work on Wednesday, Riley Elementary School teacher Christi Paulson said she had a bad feeling about how her students would be responding to President-elect Donald Trump.
The school is located on Salt Lake City's diverse west side and home to many languages, ethnicities and countries of origin.
"They're really worried about the [border] wall," Paulson said, referring to one of Trump's signature campaign pledges, "and about friends and parents and people getting sent away."
In her second-grade classroom, Paulson has two cups on a counter that feature a smiling, winking face with big thumbs up and a sad face with eyes on the cusp of tears.
Each day students place a stick labeled with their name in one of the two cups, which allows Paulson to check in privately with students who are distressed.

You gotta be kidding me. Does this writer even know about what's in and around the environs of DC? I've been to parts of DC-adjacent Virginia that would make you think you were in Delhi, India.....farther east, nowhere you'd want to drive through at night.

These children are being raised to be useful idiots only (ALL STATE CONTROLLED SCHOOLS CREATE SLAVES OF THE STATE (Socrates). The only reason for “education” is to TEACH VIRTUE (Socrates). Without Virtue, there is no Wisdom, Justice, Courage, Temperance-—necessary for a FREE REPUBLIC!!!!!
That is why in the 60s our evil SCOTUS banned Christianity—the transmission of our Traditions and Worldview is banned as they promote Satanism, paganism, Mother Earth Worship, ignorance, etc. Only Christian Worldview created the Age of Reason, the Mind of Newton and Tesla and the Wright Bros.
Now, the children are taught lies and misinformation-—macro-evolution, paganism and satanism and Marxism (sodomy/baby-killing/”gender” theory to destroy the Natural Family (Reason/Common Sense)/Biological connection).
What’s with the LDS state taking a left turn this cycle? Its like their pseudo is showing.

When Kennedy was assassinated, (2nd grade for me) they sent us all home for the day. I was happy about getting the school day off.
Got yelled at when I got home for being happy when the president had been shot. Well, I wasn’t happy that someone got shot but that school was canceled. I knew it didn’t affect me any and there was nothing I could do about it. But I knew better than to argue with my parents so pretended to be sad.
I was all of 6 or 7. What did I know?
I was waiting for one of the Salt Lake City Hispanic “community leaders” (Tony) to chime in on this crisis. But then I remembered he’s facing rape charges.

NO TAX DOLLARS SHOULD BE SPENT for this BS in our colleges or high schools, on teachers and administrators who cannot control their students. If tax dollars are spent, this lack of resource stewardship should be addressed harshly. (If private institutions want to waste their resources on this, then that’s their stupid business).

A man told me yesterday he had to explain to his tearful little daughter why bad people had prevented a woman from becoming president. I had to refrain from asking why he would want a lying, power and money driven criminal being a role model for his daughter.

With the public schooling indoctrination/programming being ever-worse, both in content and degree, it's actually pretty unsurprising to me.
What is surprising is the pushback against those who have taken to the programming like fish to water, the social justice warriors
, as it shows a rejection of that programming. (Or at least a partial rejection.)
In any case, I think they ought to be treated with the pity that's normally reserved for abused children… let's face it, they were abused as children, under the auspices of the government and even us (though against our will, at times). Jesus had something to say about the sorts of people who'd do that to children:

Count on it. Utah is as gun-toting conservative as can be but the media is as degenerate-liberal as can be (a term I’ve adapted from “degenerate gambler”, somebody who always loses and can’t stop even when they’re about to lose their house). The SL Tribune is a total liberal rag. I hit their message boards and get flamed by the libs that constantly freak out on me. Even mormon-owned KSL is as liberal as can be, I don’t know how they get away with that. KSL must be tax write-off and the mormon church really doesn’t care what they do.
You should’ve seen my workplace yesterday morning. It was like everybody’s team had won the championship and their bets on it paid off 20-to-1.

I took my daughter to the bus stop this morning (I have today off) and it was all good. 20 kids and not one of them was acting any different.
