MANCHESTER, N.H. —New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte conceded the Senate race to Gov. Maggie Hassan Wednesday evening.

he concession announcement comes after Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan declared victory in the closely-watched U.S. Senate battle against the Republican incumbent.

"I just spoke with Gov. Hassan to congratulate her on her election to serve in the U.S. Senate," Ayotte said in a statement. "I wish Gov. Hassan, her husband, Tom, and their children, Ben and Meg, the very best."

Hassan is pledging to work with President-elect Donald Trump "when it's in the best interest of New Hampshire and the country," and she promises to stand up to him when it's not.

Actually, would have preferred that Ayotte won.

As RINO as she is, her slot in keeping the “R” majority might come in VERY handy at the mid-terms, where typically the majority party loses seats.

Trump’s ability to get things thru are much improved to have free reign for 4 years rather than 2.

She played it about as stupid as one could play it.

Running as Tea Party then acting RINO once elected.

Distancing herself from her own party’s presidential nominee and playing to the McCain/Graham wing of the party.

All that said, she was talented and I hated to see her go and hated to see the R’s lose a seat.

Stupid candidate running in the Party of Stupid; what could possibly go wrong.

As bad as she was she would have been a vote for Senate control (Which is huge when you are trying to implement your policy!) Also she is a potential vote for a Supreme Court justice. Where with a Rat the probability of a potential vote is near zero!

Agree. As I posted on another thread to a NeverAyotter, I hope he hasn't cut off his nose to spite his face -- and ALL our faces, if Ayotte's loss results in a loss of Senate approval of an excellent Supreme Court candidate, nominated by President Trump.

Exactly right. Ayotte was backstabbing RINO. Good riddance to her. The Gang of Three is down one.

And may she serve as an example to other RINOs.

Ran away from Trump and paid the price. Sane with Heck in Nevada. Winnable seats. GOP= stupid party.

Yes, both were idiots. Both could have won their races, and Trump might have taken their states, had they united behind the Republican nominee.

MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD

It a (recently established) New Hampshire tradition. It's called "same day registration".Bus loads...AND BUS LOADS...of bums from Massachusetts (and elsewhere) arriving at polling places, claiming to be NH residents, and being given a ballot.

Good riddance to McCain’s little puppet.
