From One #NeverTrump to Another
American Thinker ^ | November 8, 2016 | Tom Trinko

Posted on 11/08/2016 10:04:51 AM PST by Kaslin

I was a proud #NeverTrump person during the primaries because there were several far better candidates. Candidates who didn’t have sordid personal lives, who didn’t lie about their opponents, who didn’t change their position on issues every few days, and who weren’t recently hardcore liberals.

But now is different than then.

Contrary to what some sophists say the election is a binary event; either Hillary or Trump will become the next president. Anyone who denies that is living in fantasyland.

Hence the question is no longer “Is Trump the sort of man we want to be president?” but instead the question is “Who worse for the country; Hillary or Trump?”

A key related question is, can the country survive a Hillary presidency? If it’s possible, or likely, that she will effect such significant changes that no future conservative can ever hope to win the presidency, then those #NeverTrump folks who are saying that Trump will destroy the conservative brand are doing the equivalent of rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

We know that Hillary has no respect for the law or the Constitution; she’s essentially a fascist, and that her Supreme Court judges will be hardcore left-wing activists like the “Notorious RBG”.

Given that we can’t count on a Republican Congress to stop her, a rational observer would have to conclude that by the end of Hillary’s first term that either illegals will have been given the vote or that a corrupt DOJ would look the other way when illegals illegally vote.

What the irrelevant write when they wake up one morning and realize they are ....well, irrelevant.

I think the problem is he started out with slurs and lies about Trump in his article. Nice he came on board but if he really did support Trump he wouldn’t be throwing mud. That kind of support is the knife in the back kind.

God bless you, Kaslin, and God bless America.

I am very, very happy to hear that.

I mailed in my vote for Mr. Trump here in Florida about ten days ago. I’m in an uber conservative little country town in NW Florida, so I am fairly certain there are no demonrat officials tearing up ballots here.

It’s in God’s Hands now.

Two things I appreciate most about Trump is that he is a red blooded American man who loves his country.

I didn’t support him out of the gate, I have to have my own come to Trump moment, but the guy is a leader, and America needs a leader.

This is another American Klunker who self-righteously condescends while purporting to support Donald Trump.

Not one of the other 16 would do anything to halt the destruction of the professional Ruling Class, the extranational Globalist Elite - for each of them is a part of it (or desperately yearns to be so).

I read this stuff, and a visceral hatred for people like Trinko moves within me. It’s wrong, and I’m trying to resist it.

NW Florida:

Where the MSM called it prematurely for Gore in 2000 (predominantly conservative, later time zone), thus creating the Republican voter suppression that led to the attempted judicial coup.

The #NeverTrumpers picked up on the false narrative of Donald Trump that the left and the media was trying pin on Trump and the #NT’ers ran with it.

They allowed themselves to be deceived by the left and media or they were willing participants. It’s good finally many saw through the ruse but sucks for others that are still holding on to those deceptions.

Thanks ConnYankee. I haven't been a big Trump fan over the years. I watched the Apprentice, but honestly, I had mixed thoughts about the guy. I wasn't sold on his persona.

Someone asked me in roughly May of 2015, if I would please look at Trump's agenda. I told them it wouldn't help. I really couldn't see myself supporting him. Hey, I was wrong.

On June 8th I took a look. I started listening to him, and I found in him someone I could back. If he held to the policies he was stating, I was in.

I'm still in, and I am very happy to be. I respect the guy a lot. He has stuck with it, battled to the very end, and kept his head up when everyone was piling on.

We couldn't have done better.

Thank you for your nice note.

Don't you tell me what I can post or not post, you noobie who signed up just a little over two month ago.

Remember that I will keep my eyes open to see if you will stay loyal to Donald Trump if he is unable to achieve his plan to make America great again because the rats might take the Congress back again.
