This was 75-25 D just two weeks ago. How can this kind of shift happen without a like shift in the Presidential race???

I’m in PA.

Did a lot to get Toomey elected originally. Sent him $100 this fall.

But he still hasn’t endorsed Trump, to my knowledge.

I responded to his “It’s your last chance” email this morning, with, “No, it’s yours.”

I can’t fathom why he won’t endorse Trump.

If the Republicans hold the Senate by winning some key races, then I think it will be largely a function of Trump supporters holding their noses and voting for Republicans down the ballot.

I agree this is what we need to have happen. However....once Trump's justices are appointed, it will be time for a reckoning.

Without a Trump victory, it MEANS NOTHING, NADA.

If the *itch gets in, it will be Obama all over again - in steroids PLUS massive corruption like you have never seen.

Don’t worry....I am afraid, nervous, stressed and nauseous.

And I did vote straight R. I don’t want to take any chances on this one!

Trump supported down ticket. They didn’t return the favor. We shall see what happens. It will be close, IMO.

The whole D strategy in Illinois boils down to miserable scolding white women are not to be trifled with in any circumstance.

That is whole D strategy EVERYWHERE. I’ve gotten about 5 direct mail Trump hates women mailers in Florida and I am a REPUBLICAN.

Ten bucks says Toomey’s success depends entirely on suburban white Republican and Independent women, and his people are telling him to tread very carefully with them.

I would prefer useless, feckless Republicans to dangerous Democrats any day of the week.

The Republicans are defending a lot of seats this year, and they don’t really have a good chance to pick up seats currently held by Democrats — even with retiring Democratic incumbents in a few states.

Trump will carry more seats than Romney or McCain. But of course the media will spin it as a Trump induced loss when the GOP lose a few seats. It’s to be expected given the historicly large House majority and unfavorable Senate races.

The correct time for taking out the trash will be the 2018 primary season.

Toomey has a decent rating from the Heritage Foundation, which is the gold standard for conservative think tanks.

PA already has one maniac left winger (Bob Casey), we do not need another one.

Agreed. It I think these Senate numbers and their trend bode very, very well for Trump.

I just can’t see significant numbers of voters voting for the R senator and the D president.

I think these Senate numbers are more indicative of Trump’s numbers.

Dave Reichert (R - 8 CD of WA, R+1) is a case in point. At least he is a titular R. In my district (2 CD, rated D+4) Rick Larsen, the D incumbent and Obama stalwart, is almost guaranteed to coast to reelection, as are Suzan DelBene (1st CD D+4) and Baghdad Jim McDermott (7th CD D+29) or his ghost, it really doesn’t matter. A corpse could win that seat as long as its a D corpse.
