The country's first female attorney general, Bill Clinton-appointee Janet Reno, died Monday morning after a decades-long fight against Parkinson's disease, her sister Maggy Hurchalla told CNN.
Reno, who passed away at 78, served in the Clinton Administration from 1993 to 2001. The Department of Justice pursued a series of noteworthy convictions while she was in office, including for "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski; Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols for the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing; and Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman for bombing the World Trade Center in 1993.
Her tenure was marked some significant controversies, including a decision during her first days in office to raid a Waco, Texas compound that resulted in the death of about 80 members of the Branch Davidian religious group. She later expressed regret for the decision she made that ended the 51-day standoff, and said it was "obviously wrong."

Morris said Clinton wanted to drop Reno after his first term in office but Reno threatened to tell the media that it was Clinton, not she, who ordered the raid on the compound in Waco that ended with 76 men, women, and children killed when the building was burned to the ground.
“Reno threatened the president with telling the truth about Waco, and that caused the president to back down,” he said.
“Then he went into a meeting with her, and he told me that she begged and pleaded, saying that . . . she didn’t want to be fired because if she were fired it would look like he was firing her over Waco,” Morris said. “And I knew that what that meant was that she would tell the truth about what happened in Waco.
“Now, to be fair, that’s my supposition. I don’t know what went on in Waco, but that was the cause. But I do know that she told him that if you fire me, I’m going to talk about Waco.”
Morris said Clinton disliked Reno.
“That was after Clinton had told me, ‘Janet Reno was the worst mistake I ever made,’” Morris said. “He hated her.”

Good, and I hope she didn’t get her vote in before she was laid onto God’s anvil to be beaten by a sledge hammer.
Her death at this time is God speaking to the Clintons.

I think that if you do a little research you will find that is was ATF agents already in the building that were shooting at the agents on the roof. I don’t know if Koresh was a wacko or not because I don’t believe anything that administration said or caused others to say.

A friend of mine said 2 days before that they were “Fixing to burn ‘em out”. Here in Texas the older families remember how the Indians operated against isolated ranches and farms.

“I don’t know if Koresh was a wacko or not”
He was, and a carbon copy of Muhammad or Joseph Smith. That does not excuse the government for burning up women and children though. The Feds could have quietly picked up Koresh on one of his periodic trips to town before the siege ever began. The government wanted to make an example of him by going into the compound in a dramatic fashion to arrest him.
You’re not supposed to speak ill of the dead. Even if the dead are truly evil women that deported an illegal immigrant child via machine gun and killed women and children in Waco and Ruby Ridge.
So: no comment.
I don’t know if you understod my post- The Branch Davidians did not shoot ANY ONE - ANY PERSON - NO PERSON from the government was hit by Branch Davidians.
But two officers were killed.
And they were both killed by “friendly fire”.
And both were former Clinton bodyguards.

In '93 I was working in a appliance/TV/computer place (I was the computer tech). At some point in the day I came down from my shop, through the appliance area, and into the TV room. Every single TV in the place, wall the way around the room, was on, and all of them were showing the Waco compound in flames.
And my immediate reaction was "they're burning them out".
How many times did she die? Isn’t ONCE enough.
