COMEY JUST TOLD THE TRUTH
boblonsberry.com ^ | 10/31/16 | Bob Lonsberry

Posted on 10/31/2016 11:38:52 AM PDT by shortstop

So, the Democrats are mad at the FBI director because he told the truth?

Hillary's right-hand girl's husband allegedly has a 15-year-old cyber girlfriend, and he's writing her and stashing his porn on a laptop that also has Hillary's classified e-mails.

And the Democrats are mad at the FBI director?

That's confusing.

Because I remember last summer when the Democrats said that James Comey was the most honest guy in Washington. They opined at length about his integrity and virtue. As he announced that he didn't think a prosecutor in the land would bring charges against Hillary -- and so he wouldn't either -- I think they just about crowned him king.

Back then, Democrats loved Comey.

But that went south on Friday.

Having been notified on Thursday that Weinergate had turned up a treasure trove of State Department and Hillary Clinton e-mails, including many not previously seen by investigators, the director did what he was supposed to do.

He notified Congress that an investigation in which it had expressed a great deal of interest was being reopened because of the discovery of new evidence.

And that set the Democrats squawking.

Apparently, if you are a Democrat, and you may have broken the law, and lied through your teeth about it, and there is probable cause to reopen an investigation into it, anybody who says so hates women.

What Comey did is called transparency.

Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation are being investigated by five separate FBI field offices. One year-long investigation directly relating to her potential misconduct while secretary of State was concluded and publicly reported on. Such a report was, in July, unprecedented.

That's means it'd never happened before.

But the FBI director got up and said, because of public interest and in the name of openness in government, he was going to explain the investigation and its conclusions. And he explained why he had decided that, though Hillary had been horrendously careless, he didn't think she had done anything for which she could be convicted.

That ticked a lot of Republicans off.

But it put it all out there. It explained to the American people what had happened and what the thinking was.

And it became an oft-cited clean bill of health. Hillary and her surrogates have over and over referred to the fact that the FBI found her guilty of no wrongdoing.

All that happened on Friday was that the FBI gave an update.

The director told the Congress -- and, thereby, the American people -- that that closed book had, on the basis of new information, been reopened.

And boy did that make the Democrats squeal.

Openness in the name of praise of their candidate is good. Openness in the name of criticism of their candidate is bad.

What Comey did was tell the truth to the American people.

And Hillary hates it when that happens.

So all her minions are running about cussing out the FBI director.

Which is a bunch of nonsense. He is just reporting a truth.

And Hillary and her close associates are responsible for the reality of that truth.

It is a truth that Hillary had a private e-mail server, contrary to government policy and the advice of her staff. It is a truth that Hillary used that private e-mail server to send and receive classified communications, in violation of policy and law. It is a truth that thousands of those e-mails were received and saved by Hillary's closest advisor, on an unsecured private laptop that was also used by that advisor's husband. It is a truth that that advisor's husband is the target of a federal criminal investigation stemming from potentially illicit cyber communications with a minor child. And it is a truth that pursuant to that federal criminal investigation a laptop was seized and government e-mails were found, many of which are suspected of being classified.

All of that is the truth.

And that is what the FBI director said.

Did it come out at an inconvenient time for Hillary?

Certainly.

But as any criminal can tell you, the cops always catch you at an inconvenient time.

Point #1 for Mr. Lonsberry; I don't think anyone has definitively said the Weiner computer contained any of Clintons emils. But I may have missed that somewhere.

There's an old political saying, If you want to make a Conservative mad, lie to him. If you want to make a Liberal mad, tell him the truth.

The truth is “hate speech” to the left. Always has been.

I remember Kaine during the Vice Presidential debate saying that it wasn’t appropriate for candidates to question an FBI director’s integrity.

The Democrats are whining about "procedure."

I do not know whether Comey’s decision to notify Congress about the newly-surfaced Hillary Clinton emails is, or is not, in accordance with proper "procedure"....

.......but this I do know......

Comey's notifying Congress is a ringing endorsement of the power of the people.

The overwhelming evidence Comey told us he had on Hillary was not acted upon.....so we, the people, did the only thing left to us.....we contacted our reps in Congress to demand action.

Comey notifying Congress says all that's needed to be said about this sordid scandal.

There have been several places reporting that police investigating Weiner came across emails with state department email addresses and that is how this got reopened.
Had there not been reported that the 650,000 included the State Department or Clinton Foundation materials, then she said why open this back up?

They found something substantial or why go there?

As far as I’m concerned an expansive delineation of “the truth” coupled with an insane and improper assumption of prosecutor responsibilities to determine prosecution as believed by Lonsberry isn’t the WHOLE truth.

I’ve heard over and over how ‘impeccable’ Comey is, how he is ‘revered’ blah, blah, blah.

To me impeccable is evidences by high standards and NEVER violating them, never being unethical, never being duplicitous. You (those at large)can’t convince me that Comey has exhibited any of the three with any specificity in this.

Quite. Comey’s letter said practically nothing beyond “the investigation has been reopened.” Interesting that the Left goes so crazy, and says so much, over so little.

Goodlatte was on Megyn Kelly’/ show on Friday, as head of house Judiciary Committee, who is investigating the original email case. He said that Comey promised to keep him informed of any new developments in the case. He also said that Obama and the Justice Dept will not prosecute this case, so the JidiciL Committee intends to follow through.

Did his letter not say he was reopening the case of the Clinton emails based on new information stemming from the Weiner/Abedin laptop computer?

The connection is clear. There are Clinton emails on that computer.

Here you go:

“FBI confirms classified emails from Clinton on Huma’s iPhone; Weiner also had access”

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3487310/posts

Although it mentions iPhone, it also confirms Weiner had access. Pretty obvious now what was going on.

Nixon’s cover up, in an attempt to protect his administration was insignificant compared to the illegal, nefarious, evil, treachery exhibited by the Obama Administration and Clinton Inc.

Republicans turned on Nixon as revelations about the cover up became news. The Democrats just keep spinning their lies to keep their candidate in the race. The Democrats have pitted our citizenry against each other by race, gender, and imagined sexual orientation, They condone RICO acts and obstruction of justice in an effort to stay in power.

One wonders how deeply the individual Democrat legislators are involved in the betrayal of our nation, that they will not condemn the Clinton’s acts, or the lying by Obama about not knowing that Hillary was using an unsecured email server.

With the knowledge now before the American People, we should all demand hand counted paper ballots, with no electronic tabulation. Each ballot should be verified by a member of each major party, and an independent, as cast for a candidate. It may slow down the election results, but we have until the Electoral Congress meets to count.

In the future, the only early voting allowed should be absentee voting. In that case the individual should give a valid excuse on why he or she cannot vote in person. The absentee ballot should only be accepted if the individual presents a government issued ID along with the ballot, in person at the Supervisor of Election’s office.

In the case of individuals who are hospitalized, in nursing homes, or home bound. The individuals should notify the Supervisor of elections following the primaries, that they need a elections official to visit them in person and collect the ballot, along with their photo ID.

Each absentee ballot should be numbered, and the number cross referenced with the voter rolls. The voter rolls should note that an absentee ballot is on file for the individual. If that individual shows up on election day, with ID, the absentee ballot should be pulled, and secured for future evidence of voter fraud. This will also allow for a voter to change their mind about their previous decision.
