A group founded earlier this year to help mobilize black turnout for the Nov. 8 elections has suspended operations, The Post has learned.
Black Votes Matter PAC was created to address concerns about a drop-off in the black vote without President Obama, the first African-American elected to the White House, on the ballot.
Black Votes Matter PAC founder Charlie King said the allies in Hillary Clintons camp made it known that a separate, third-party effort wasnt needed to turn out the African-American vote.
We stopped pushing a couple of weeks ago. They didnt think Black Votes Matters was needed to get out the African-American vote. We had a lot of people geared up, said King, a former director of the New York State Democratic Party who has ties to the Rev. Al Sharpton, Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the black political establishment.
King had been working with groups including the NAACP and Urban League.
King said the black turnout wont equal the historic percentage of African-American voters who flocked to the polls in 2008 and 2012 to back Obama. But he said the black turnout should be robust enough to help Clinton defeat GOP rival Donald Trump.
We think the race is over, he said.

So they be ran outta money.
No, they don’t know if O’Keeffe has infiltrated them, ;-)
Well, then tell your constituents not to bother voting. After all, the race is over.
“We think the race is over,”
Translation...they put a “stop payment” on the check!
So low info D black voters don’t need help from Hillary allies to stay home.
Because her coronation is inevitable. Got it.
Hey Charlie King, if you jerks win, the COUNTRY is OVER. And you deserve the Hell that will follow.
FU and DIE.
Good you think that.
Hubris + Karma = SURPRISE !
How can ABC and AP be wrong?
Hillary is getting a tsunami voter turnout. They fell for it.
Black voters aren’t just into an old, white woman.
too many black voters are wisening up how badly the D/Obama machine has ripped them off
and they are (if we can get the message thru) swinging to vote more and more for Mr Trump
Psy op ... don’t vote for Trump, niggah ... he ain’t gettin’ it anyway, yo.
Hopefully they burned themselves with their fake polls.
Or they know it is a waste of money now. She needed that high turn out black vote in high numbers to beat Trump and they are not getting it, why waste money....especially with the rumors of a video of her yelling at a black person that would ruin any effort they put into it. Not that it has shown up.
Just today, Trump gave an excellent speech in Charlotte talking about his plans for black communities. Laid out 3 specific goals - law enforcement, jobs, and education.
So, this group is conceding all right - conceding that Hillary is not going to get the numbers that Obama has gotten from blacks. If blacks aren't already voting for Trump, a sizable percentage will simply not vote at all and stay home as they know Hillary and the Dems won't do anything for them anyway.
Hillary's meeting with Stevie Wonder today just shows how obsolete her thinking is when it comes to black support. She's hanging out with yesteryear black celebrities. Many younger blacks don't know or don't care who Stevie Wonder is. They don't know who Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton is. They don't know who the NAACP is or what their original intent was. Hillary is stuck in the past. Trump has made all polling data, turnout models, and identity politics obsolete.
So how come no one on the dem side, except for McCain, pulled out of the 2008 race when it was clear McCain was toast?
We think the race is over
In other words, they found no enthusiasm for Clinton among black people, made a facile effort, and quit.
We think the race is over,
________
On the contrary. If Trump is elected POTUS, your race will rise and become part of the American Dream.
