I went to my first candidate rally with my parents, it was for Goldwater.
I wrote a letter to him, saying that when he became president, he should kick all the commies out of the country.
I got a letter back from him and it wasn’t a canned response.
How does this election differ, from that one all those years ago?

Odd thing is that there was no way LBJ was going to lose that election after JFK was killed, so over-the-top ads weren’t needed.
But, yeah - “the more things change”. I expect that even if it were Kasich running, he’d be portrayed by the Dem-Media Complex as a crazy man who wanted to start WW3. And a woman-abusing racist, too, of course.

It's hard to imagine that the national polarization was much greater in 1860 than it is today.
If striking such a bargain were possible, I would gladly forfeit what's left of my life in exchange for a Trump victory and the preservation of America's Constitutional liberties.
With Kasich they would be legit. They say he was quite the stud in his early days with his “friend” Gary Condit.

Just voted- out of several hundred voters that I saw, there were less than a score of obama’s chidren.
One more observation from my polling experience- I remember a much larger number of male voters in line. I will swing by later and try to assess that.

I feel the same way. Many in the GOPE have thrown in the towel. Some people have been discouraged by the MSM, but there are those in the Establishment who act like they want Clinton to win. It’s appalling. A third Obama term might be more than the nation can recover from, yet they would rather be proven right than save the country. It leaves me reeling.
For starters, I will never listen to Glenn Beck again.
