Premiums will go up sharply next year under President Barack Obama’s health care law, and many consumers will be down to just one insurer, the administration confirmed Monday. That will stoke another “Obamacare” controversy days before a presidential election.
Before taxpayer-provided subsidies, premiums for a midlevel benchmark plan will increase an average of 25 percent across the 39 states served by the federally run online market, according to a report from the Department of Health and Human Services. Some states will see much bigger jumps, others less.

I think more than the failing program itself is the way people who opposed it or pointed out its flaws were treated. It was a bloodbath. I will never forget the townhalls and how arrogant and condescending some of the Congress people and bureaucrats were with citizens. It was disgraceful, deplorable even.
A regular failed government program would not be such a lightning rod. But this one is because of how people who tried to warn about the flaws were treated.
It was designed to fail. When it fails we get something worse.
Typical rat scum that he is, he gets this pushed through, then he will be long gone when it bears the rotten fruit, leaving someone else to pick up the mess after millions have been affected and injured.
Same way it will be with the feminization and homosexualization of the military.
Except in the case of the military, it won’t be ‘affected’ people, it is going to be dead and mangled personnel, and lost battles and wars. We will be forced to fix tha in mid-stream...if we can.
There’s only one thing “ObamaCare” AKA “Socialized Medicine” AKA Government Medicine cares about: GETTING MORE GOVERNMENT POWER BY TAKING YOUR MONEY AND YOUR FREEDOM. It has NOTHING to do with your health because government does’t care about your health because government doesn’t care about you at all. Government was never created to “care” only to coerce.
A healthy, limited government, like what we had in the 1800’s, confines its coercion to our enemies. A sick, bloated government, like what we have now, turns its coercion on its own citizens.
Not rocket science. Pretty simple really. We’ve had hundreds of years of hundreds of examples of how bankrupt socialism and government medicine is.
What is really astonishing is how common sense and actual history is utterly ignored when it comes to government intrusion into our lives with the guise of, “Hi I’m from the government and I’m here to help” and the gullible saying, Sure, common in.” It’s like letting the thief and murderer into your house like he’s your friend.
A second bill should do the same to employees of all media companies that editorialized in favor of Obamacare. They will object that they are being coerced into something they don't want. The answer to this is that this is what Obamacare does to others, so declared supporters should not be immune.
FWIW, Romney promised to E.O. it away if he was elected.
Donald Trump is now into this thing, 4 years worse. Is something similar on his proposed agenda?
I don’t want time wasted on revenge that could be used for simply fixing the blasphemous situation.
Mitt Romney invented Obamacare and nobody believed him when he said he was going to lift a finger to stop it. Trump says he will repeal it and replace it. I'd prefer just repealing and letting the free market take over but the lasting damage done by Obama to our heath care industry will probably mean a successor program will be needed to prevent collapse.
That’s one of those warped little claim-factoids; Mitt instituted a state program, never planned it to be Federal.
