In the final sprint of the general election season, Donald Trump’s presidential campaign is acknowledging that it’s playing catch-up to Hillary Clinton, just as a new national poll shows the Republican nominee trailing his opponent by double digits.
When asked on NBC News how she saw the state of the race, Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s campaign manager, replied that “We are behind.”
“She has some advantages, like $66 million in ad buys just in the month of September, thereby doubling her ad buys from August,” Conway pointed out. “Now, most of those ads are negative against Donald Trump, classic politics, personal destruction...kind of ads. And that she has tremendous advantages.”

“Karl Rove on Fox News Sunday: “Donald Trump Can’t Win”
I don’t see it happening,” Rove told Fox. “If he plays an inside straight, he could get it, but I doubt he’s going to be able to play it.”
Rove explained Trump’s electoral vote deficit, swing state by swing state. Mitt Romney only won 206 electoral votes in 2012, and according to Rove’s judgment, Trump can only feel comfortable in about 168, with just over two weeks to go before the Nov. 8 election.
Trump, Rove said, is barely eking out a polling lead in Ohio and Iowa, which Obama won in 2012. But he is also behind in North Carolina and Arizona, states that Romney won. And his deficit in other electoral vote-rich states like Florida is so severe that he is unlikely to pull ahead.
I doubt that in the just over two weeks we’ve got left, conducting the kind of campaign he’s conducting, that he’s going to be able to swing 1 out of every, you know, 10 voters, 1 out of every 12 voters, 1 out of every 15 voters and 1 out of every 6 voters in a state and convert them,” Rove said.

Excuse me, but with the enthusiasm much higher for Trump wouldn’t thinking Clinton is winning keep the people that really didn’t want to vote for her the excuse to stay home?
This is an unusual election year in that many voters are motivated to vote against rather than for a candidate and up to a third of voters will have voted by mail or in early voting before election day.
I've said many time that I hope Conway doesn't cost Trump the election.
Now it looks like she may be actively working for a loss..

And unfortunately her big mouth may just depress voter turnout. Folks whom I follow on Twitter yesterday cited sources within both campaigns say the race is tied and all will hinge on voter turnout.
Too bad she didn’t do a good job like Eric Trump did on ABC. Unlike her, he was excellent. He being a political novice did much better than the pro.
If Trump doesn’t want to fire her this close to the election, then she needs to be kept from the press and her public/press appearances diminished. He should get Eric Trump to take Conways place on the talk circuit at least.
The only good thing about Rove’s predictions is that they are usually wrong. Hope this RINO is wrong again.
Are strong Trump ads playing in battleground states?
Texas is a battleground state, now.....I can think of SOOOO many ads that could be playing against the Beast. DC corruptions being one.

Walice then said, well you were scheduled to be here and then instead we had Rudy Guilani. She then repeated that she had not been held back...with a little attitude.

I agree. I finally saw a Trump ad here in NC last weekend, but they should have been airing in September when Hillary’s were too. He has the money.
