Now Conway is taking to her twitter account to try and push the IBD/TIPP poll showing Trump up two. Trying to make up for her gaff earlier I guess. I’m sure she caught hell for publicly saying they were losing.

Me either but Kellyanne is still the primary spokesperson other than Mr. Trump himself.
I can’t imagine him being happy with her saying that they are behind when he is touting the polls that show him in the lead.

The polls showing her with a double digit lead are meant to suppress the vote. It’s likely to be a lot closer than that. More Clinton lies.

Regarding polling.

This is anecdotal, so take it FWIW but it is confirmation of a mentality we *think* may be effecting polls.

We had a family member filling out a ballot today. 19 years old, female and first time voting. She hates Hillary and thinks she is corrupt to the core but she also thinks Trump is an idiot and doesn't like his "social policies". She was planning on voting Johnson. I had, at least, convinced her to vote Stein and was somewhat content with that progress.

Then a few days later, I pushed it a bit more. Pushed her more on the demographic issue. Really pushed the healthcare angle. Was she ready to buy useless and expensive health insurance or, worse, be fined $1000s of dollars for not buying it as "she was getting to that age when she would have to buy her own health insurance"

That finally pushed her over the edge and she voted Trump.

She was extremely worried, though, asking several times if any one could find out that she did. She was honestly afraid it could hurt her prospects in the future. She said she was never telling any one who she voted for and would say Stein if they asked.

How many people are answering pollsters with the same fears?

How many people are answering pollsters with the same fears?

At least many tens of thousands imho, and due precisely to the fear you described: a paralysis of will; terrified of acting contrary to the current slavish societal conformity.

I don't think it's merely the grousing of a curmudgeon to say that a huge portion of today's 'kids' are scared of their own shadow,
and it's the societal cowardice inherent in the PC insanity that's been allowed to flourish these past 40 years that's to blame for it.

Untold millions of people (not just kids) have gradually allowed themselves to be infected by the groupspeak cancer that has slowly metastasized
since the beginning of the marxist infiltration of our educational institutions in the 1930s.

There are of course myriad other factors at work in all this but, imho, the overarching common pathogen is an 'education' system in which the proper development
of the kids entrusted to its care is quite often, nay usually, is a priority very far down the list of items on its collective (and collectivist) agenda.

We can only hope that your niece (or whomever) will see in the fullness of time that she made a choice today to be proud of, convention be damned.
You're to be commended for your efforts on her behalf, and should reasonably expect sincere thanks from this person *sooner or later*.

Remember the exceedingly wise guidance from Winston: a conservative at 20 has no heart, but a liberal at 40 has no brain !

ps: at this point in life, 'kids' are anyone younger than, say, 40! . . .  also, you write really well  ;-)

She’s encouraging folks not to be complacent. Trump needs to build a lead the Democrats cannot overcome with their typical cheaty shenanigans.

We say it ourselves: Project the confidence of being 5 points ahead. Campaign hard like you’re 5 points behind.

VOTE!!!

I realize this thread is dead and buried, but I liked your comment, and wanted to give it a belated +1.

Also, you’ve probably already seen this, but it sounds like Trump is not on Conway’s page:

@realDonaldTrump:

Major story that the Dems are making up phony polls in order to suppress the the Trump . We are going to WIN!
