That would be a pleasant surprise, but remember that just before the 2014 gubernatorial election in Maryland, Anthony Brown was given a 96 percent chance of winning, but Larry Hogan (Republican) pulled off the victory.
Two of the last three governors are Republicans — Hogan and Bob Ehrlich. So the state is more winnable than one might think. Still, it would be a long shot.
What would also be good is that if Trump won, he might be able to pull Kathy Szeliga through in the Senate race.
BTW, the last three Lt. Governors of Maryland have been black — Michael Steele, Anthony Brown, and now Boyd Rutherford.

If Trump can win Maryland, he’ll win nationally in a landslide
I ran several states by Team Trump this morning. Without specifics, suffice it to say that narrowly they are at 272, with 30 or more EVs very much in play.
If you look at the bluest county in OH, Cuyahoga, and this morning Rs had akready early voted 95% of their 2012 level while Ds were only at 52%....? Well, you can see what’s coming.
AZ is not in play. Dems say that every cycle and have a phony poll or two, all designed to get the R to waste money and time.
NC is not “safe” but it is Trump’s.

If Trump takes MD it’s hard to think of a state Hillary will win. Between DC sucklers in eastern MD and huge minority population in Baltimore, there is t a state more demographically favorable to Dems.
White people in MD, even libs, must be getting tired of BLM and their antics.

If he pulls some black vote in Baltimore, he can win the state. I’m from the Eastern Shore originally.
IMO Romney didn’t work for it at all.
That would be quite a shocker to the body politic if Trump walked away with even a quarter of black Baltimore. It would indicate that there is deep, deep dissent there with the Democrat powers, and Trump is not trumpeting the GOP brand nearly as much as his own more centrist vision. He is a Republican of convenience.
