After Donald Trump’s defeat, the U.S. will have to contend with a ‘war’ between the states

Hillary Clinton’s “dream” of a common market throughout the American hemisphere is a dystopian nightmare to many in this country.

This dream was featured in one of the excerpts from her paid speeches to financial institutions released last week by WikiLeaks.

My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders, sometime in the future,” Clinton said in a 2013 speech for Banco Itau of Brazil, “with energy that is as green and sustainable as we can get it, powering growth and opportunity for every person in the hemisphere.”

John Kass of the Chicago Tribune wondered this week if Clinton would explain what she meant with these remarks of a borderless Western hemisphere. “An America without borders? That’s not a dream, that’s a nightmare,” Kass wrote in the Tribune. “Ask the Europeans. They know.”

Kotkin, an expert in economic geography, says the Electoral College map “reflects an increasingly stark conflict between two very different American economies.”

One, concentrated on the coasts and largely Democratic, he calls the “Ephemeral Zone,” because it deals primarily in digits and images, the movement of software, media and financial transactions. The other, mostly Republican, is the “New Heartland,” which produces tangible things like food, fiber and manufactured goods.

In his view, Trump should and probably will lose, but that will not put an end to this divide. “The new war between the states will not end in November,” he says. “It will have hardly just begun."

In this economic climate, Kotkin contends, Republicans could still make progress in this election, even with Trump at the top of the ticket likely to lose.

“Once Trump is gone,” he says, “there will be enough political will and money to mount a counter-offensive” against the blue-state digital economy.

I take it your question is rhetorical.

It’s obvious now, isn’t it.

I won’t take that “suburban college educated women” comment personally. But I’m wondering how many of them feel exactly as I do now about Trump and the state of our country.

True, normally they do appear among the dumbest politically. And I have a few sisters in law that want Hillary because “she’s a woman!” UGH! Honestly I don’t respond to them anymore because I wouldn’t know where to begin to reach them.

The flag stands for taxpayer-funded abortion on demand at any time for any reason.

The flag stands for a constitution that no longer exists.

The flag stands for laws that favor one race over another, one class of people over another.

The flag stands for a government accountable to no one.

The flag stands for a government that sends it’s young people to die in endless wars conducted without the consent of the people.

The flag stands for a mercenary army where citizenship is not required.

The flag stands for a Globalist Hegenomy with no national borders and where citizenship is meaningless.

I will NOT pledge allegiance to such a country or its flag.

If Hillary wins, elections won’t matter anymore. Her SCJ’s will override any American legislation and will fully support the globalist collectivist vision. It will be the day America died. The stench may take a few years to permeate.

I am not discounting the importance of the Supreme Court, and the next president's ability to mold it for the next 50 years. I just don't get it, though. The SC does not make law, it rules on the validity. It has no ability to enforce it's judgments. Most importantly, it is not the final adjudicator of what is Constitutional and what is not. The States and ultimately the people are. We, as a citizenry need to relearn that fact and start acting accordingly.

There will be a personal “war” I know. If Hillary assumes the throne I will “secede” from the United States and declare it an enemy. I will never again pledge allegiance to the flag, or to the government of the United States. The United States of America will be dead.

That makes two of us. Never thought it would happen in my lifetime but . . . there it is.

Count me in too!

As for our manifesto may I point out Walter Williams excellent essays the first one written around 2000. At the time I thought he was being alarmist and jumping the gun little did I know he was prophetic to an amazing accuracy and I was just delusional.

Your post can be boiled down to one simple sentence, "The guys with the guns set the agenda." People need to start remembering that every time the libs start talking about "common sense" gun control.

And if Trump wins then he will have to contend with the same thing.

By God; my dad and my ancestors going way back fought and
shed their blood for this country and this flag and IT IS
NOT HILLARY’S, nor does it belong to the MUSLIMS. I DON’T
HOWEVER, pledge allegiance to governments.

I will bow to the will of Almighty God even if Hitler-y is
given the throne she craves for it is ONLY by the will of
God that rulers are set up and brought down. IF Hitler-y
is “elected”, we are in deep doo-doo and she will hasten
the day when Yeshua Ha Maschiach (Christ) returns; which
in the end will be a good thing.

Here’s how I see it: since the Constitution exists to limit government and provide we the people with liberty, if they try to remove our protections then we take something that matters more to them until it stops. I

I sincerely believe that the moral and political corruption within certain geographical areas of our country are so great that something is going to break and we will enter a type of civil war (or action) once again. This time between those who wish to remain free and to exercise the rights of free speech, freedom in general and the ability to control their own lives as fee people. The other side will pander for “free stuff” and total support by the government by those who are still responsible enough to make the money to pay for it.

No, we are headed for some very disastrous times and the “sheeple” have been fully indoctrinated and brainwashed to accept it. The time has finally come and the only hope we have is to have a true “MANAGER” at the helm of state rather than a pure socialist.

Our public and private indoctrination centers (public schools, colleges, main stream news and the Democrat party) have taken years to properly prepare the fields for planting and now they intend to “plant the crop.”

The only obstacle in their way is the resistance to gun control but they have scared enough women and timid men that soon be overcome in the name of SAFETY.

Excellent post. Unfortunately, Joe six pack can’t comprehend it. He’s either too busy working paycheck to paycheck, or a bliss ninny sucking at the government teat. Up to this point, the ruling class overlords have been very careful to keep the pot from boiling over, always ensuring that the pressure relief valve is kept open with a steady supply of mind numbing distractions.

The writer is so sure Trump will lose that he keeps using the word lose in the article. Why is that?

Because Trump is very likely to lose.

Even if we had a squeaky clean, articulate, solidly conservative candidate without all of Trump's baggage and negatives, the tipping point came in 2008.

As a country, we will never again elect a candidate that doesn't promise free stuff to everyone.

The takers are in charge now.

There will be war within the cities as well.

Well, I'm pretty sure the Asian business owners will be lighting up the domestic savages as they attempt to loot.
