I disagree. He’s ultimately a creature of ego and self promotion. He’d be the kind of Justice that would be too clever by a half and end up ruining things on big decisions, like Roberts.

>>He thinks he’s waited past the point where he could have actually helped. He’s dead to me even if he personally assassinates the beast.

That’s the truth!

I’ve been pretty hard to Cruz for his petty performance this year.

He deserved it. Still does.

The fool could have inspired folks from the Convention floor.

He took a pass, to prove what a solid Conservative he was.

He’s Tead to me.

Trump has already mentioned how tough he was on his competitors. Sadly, I think Cruz is thin-skinned as most people are who think they’re going to take over the world and find, that in reality, it’s pretty hard to do.

"Cruz never said never Trump."

And Trump said never Cruz: "I don’t want his endorsement. If he gives it, I will not accept it." 7/22/16

Because Ted Cruz sees that Trump has a REAL chance of winning and wants to be in his Administration

I think Ted could do plenty to redeem himself.

Ryan I gave up on though

Cruz was my first choice, and I voted for him in the Texas primary.

That said, he (Cruz) stalled WAY TOO LONG to endorse the eventual nominee (as per his pledge to support whoever that was) and quite frankly has a lot of work to do to earn my vote to return him to the Senate.

I agree. We should praise good choices even if made by those we do not like personally.

Never too late!

Cruz will be a much needed ally in the Senate.

Even if this is insincere, and even if this is purely a self-interested CYA, I’m glad. This will make #NeverTrump harder to sustain, and that may make all the difference in the election and in whether the United States has a future. I’ll take it gratefully. Cruz still has loyal anti-Hillary followers, and this might swing their votes.

“Maybe the both sense that Trump has a lot of momentum here, and they don’t want to be on the wrong side of history.”

Same reason Trump endorsed Ryan.

Studies have shown that people are more likely to actually vote if they have already told someone else they were going to, even its a stranger.

Making calls and simply asking people to affirmatively state they are going to vote is a very important GOTV activity.

I wonder if Cruz would like to be on SCOTUS.

I don’t agree .. I think Ted can call his former supporters and get a lot of support for Trump. A lot of Cruz people did not move on automatically to Trump.

What does he say? ‘I am Ted Cruz calling on behalf of the Trump-Pence campaign and I implore you to vote your conscience in November.’

Considering how Ryan has handed the left our country on a silver platter. . .I sincerely hope Trump knows what he is doing. It is time to make America great again with a new speaker of the house.
