Biden, IMO, is still much worse.

Maybe. In his own debates all those years ago. But now that he doesn't have to run anymore he's more laid back -- basically just waiting until he has to move out.

Even when he was running I don't remember Biden being as "in your face" as Kaine was. You can be as nasty as you like in politics, but you can't be a persistent pest, and that's how Kaine came across. Politicians can have your zingers and insults, but they have to know enough not to stay out of their own way and not step on their own lines.
