I agree with you. I think Santorum would have debated much better than Pence did here. It’s really Pence by default. I think Trump did better overall last week than Pence did tonight. Pence seemed on defense the whole night. But Pence didn’t make an overt gaffes.

Fox is talking about the whole insult thing. Trumps base doesn’t care when he insults others because he’s not politically correct. Hillary’s insults don’t work because we’ve turned them back against her.

I was yelling at the TV that Pence should turn to Kaine and say, “Hey, are you one of those terrorist clowns that have been running around the country lately?”
He looked d.e.r.a.n.g.e.d.
I can’t believe Kaine’s creepiness and rudeness appeals to women.
Turned on the radio on the way home from work and heard Pence's answer to Kaine's rant on foreign affairs and how Trump would be SO dangerous as President. I was waiting for Pence to pounce about Hillary's record including Benghazi, but he talked about Obama pulling out of Iraq with no status of forces agreement. I was yelling, screaming really, at the radio Benghazi! Benghazi! BENGHAZI!. Pence didn't mention it and in frustration I turned the Sirius/XM station to one playing an old Simon and Garfunkle tune. My anger repeated itself when I arrived home and turned on the debate. Kaine was still at it and Pence was so restrained almost like a zombie. I have to agree with other commenters who say Republicans always end up as the stupid party.
The mod stopped Kaine from interrupting at least once well into the debate, but I suspect she did so only because she got word from her bosses that Kaine’s interruptions were polling very badly, and she had to save his azz.
Pence wins EVEN though the debate is led by a liberal moderator who allowed Kaine (and herself) to interrupt Pence every time he brought up an important point and would not let him finish his points.
Pence reminds everyone of a football coach. Kaine, of a closeted assistant principal.
They have to say Pence won to make themselves look unbiased when they declare Harpy the winner of the next two.
I think Pence won the debate hands down.
Calm, steady demeanor will balance the perception of Trump’s feistiness

Kaine’s facial expression sometimes reminds one of a creepy child molester.
I agree 100% but I'm glad that in 1984 he got Lt. Goodman released. Might be the last good thing JJ did though.
