Why Iran is more dangerous than Islamic State
Los Angeles Times ^ | September 29, 2016 4:00 AM | Moshe Ya’alon

U.S. political leaders of both parties argue that destroying Islamic State is America’s top priority in the Middle East. In reality, that’s not nearly as important as confronting the challenge posed by Iran. The nuclear deal that went into effect a year ago may have postponed the danger of an Iranian nuclear bomb, but the multifaceted threat of a militaristic, messianic Iran — 80-million strong — is much more menacing to Western interests than the Sunni thugs and murderers of Raqqah and Mosul. […]

From Tehran’s perspective, it gained much more than it gave up. In exchange for postponing its military nuclear project, it achieved the lifting of many economic sanctions, an end to its political isolation and the loosening of restrictions on its ballistic missile program.

And out of the P5+1’s exaggerated fear of taking any steps that might give the Iranians an excuse to scuttle the deal, Tehran won a lot more too. This includes wide latitude to advance its influence throughout the region as it no longer fears a U.S.-led “military option.” …

Yes, I agree. We are two separate nations. It’s only natural that our interests do not always align.

“So you can stick it up your Putin-loving rear end.”

WHOA! ETL... Have some prozac or something.

And here you are accusing me of sounding like a poof, when you are flouncing around with this kind of ideation.

Poor fellah...

Here you go, Putinista, just for you...

"He seemed to me very independent, very serious, but at the same time a boy is always vulnerable. He was very sweet. I’ll be honest: I felt an urge to squeeze him like a kitten..." —Russian president Vladimir Putin, sounding like Michael Jackson

"In the footage, Putin, 53, is shown walking up to a small crowd of tourists in a Kremlin courtyard and crouching down in front of the boy, who appears to be five or six years old. As the Russian president talks with Nikita for several seconds, he tugs at the boy's shirt before finally lifting it up and kissing him on his bare stomach.

"He seemed to me very independent, very serious, but at the same time a boy is always vulnerable. He was very sweet. I'll be honest: I felt an urge to squeeze him like a kitten, and that led to the gesture that I made. There was nothing behind it really," Putin said, smiling.

See? You just can’t help yourself, poor thing.

Anyway, continue with your clay tablet DDOS attacks by all means.

And maybe take a cold shower.

I know Pakistan has nukes — not sure about anyone else. Pakistan is big time Sunni. You recall they hid Bin Laden by their military base. We did nothing!! absolutely nothing — but it was the Saudis ( their ambassador to the US, Bandar) that facilitated and paid the hijackers bills and pilot training while they got ready to kill 3000 of our innocent citizens as I read the 28 pages of death from the 9/11 commission but we avert our gaze!!

This book has some details of the Iranian links to 9/11. The trail runs through Bosnia and Germany. (Some details of those links are in the 9/11 Commission too, IINM.) All of those countries (including, per the semi-popular acronym, the “KSA”), are linked together in this.

Absolutely ZERO shiite link to 9/11. Shiites hate Sunnis. They kill each other every day. It has some nonsense to do with who was the “true” heir of mohamed. That is why attacking Iraq was so absurd. shiites have no cooperation with sunnis EVER!—Certainly not on 9/11.

Completely false on both counts. Iran’s links to Sunni terror groups has been documented over and over and over again, especially those links with al-Qa’eda and the Muslim Brotherhood (which includes Hamas). To deny that is to give the terrorists the advantage, and maybe even the game. (Why else do the Democrats insist on playing nice with the Shi’ites in particular? Not for the USA’s advantage, to be sure.)

Attacking Iraq was not the absurd move; switching to “nation building” was, again giving the Shi’ites the advantage (Iran of course, handing rule to the Iran-linked Islamic Dawa Party; Iraq is now their vassal, as Syria has been), and that was exacerbated by the troops being pulled out by Obama, lifting the lid off the sock-puppet al-Qa’eda in Iraq who promptly changed names to ISIS/ISIL/DAESH (take your pick). There is also a reason why both Iran and Saudi Arabia have been targeted for 9/11 reparations.

In accordance with the sacred verse of the Qur’an (“This your community is a single community, and I am your Lord, so worship Me” [21:92]), all Muslims form a single nation, and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has the duty of formulating its general policies with a view to cultivating the friendship and unity of all Muslim peoples, and it must constantly strive to bring about the political, economic, and cultural unity of the Islamic world.
That is Article 11 of Iran’s Islamic constitution. By law, they must cultivate unity among all Muslims, whether Sunni, Shi’ite, Sufi, even Modernist, Alawite and Quranist (Koran-only) divisions. And what would be their ideal way of doing that? Focusing on non-Muslims, the USA, Israel and Europe chiefly, and stirring up hatred thereof.

Hundreds of thousands? Nowhere near that high; and whatever Muslim victims are those that the “faithful” with weapons deem to be apostate anyhow.

Watch out for propaganda for the purpose of effecting the hijrah, under which European countries are starting to suffer from the effects.

Don’t know where you’re getting your news, but if it tends to make people want to become dovish in the face of the fantasy of Sunni and Shi’a annihilating each other (which is not happening; never mind putting Israel in the crossfire of such a purported war, what with Israel being the actual target), unplug from it.

If you think that Shiites are Isis— I have a video out last week of 200 Shiites , with bullets in their brain and about 10,000 Shiites blown up in Sadr City markets that would beg from the grave to differ. This stereotyping of all Arabs into one big happy family is folly. I am amazed that so many intelligent people are so ignorant. I know where it comes from —There is a plan to ignore any religious differences - not only in moslem countries but ANYWHERE. It is a plan to avert our gaze from the obvious but it is a patent and demonstrable lie.
Why did we invade the sovereign country of Iraq? I don’t have a clue.

I agree they are both enemies of Jesus . I am with you 100% on that. The key is to sort out who actually killed us and then annihilate them first and take their oil. It wasn’t the Shiites— was it?

It’s both, and therefore all.

Iran and KSA are all over the 9/11 Commission report, after all.

If there really were a significant internecine civil war between the major divisions of Islam, the UN would be calling for the world to help stop the terrible conflict, and Obama would never shut up about it.

http://www.iran911case.com/

There was some case that was decided against Iran in the 911 case, not that I believe it or rebut it, it happened.

A number of the hijackers were in Iran in the previous year. Travelled through it or something.
