Received a message from his wife that Dale Reed has passed away. Dale was a long-term conservative activist and a FReeper since nearly the beginning of Free Republic. He was one of the founding members of our Southern California Chapter. Dale and his wife and several members from Southern California were present at the 1998 picnic and meeting in Fresno where our activism efforts through chapters were basically born.
Dale was a good man, a patriot and great supporter of FR and our conservative activism efforts and will be greatly missed.
Prayers for his wife and family.
May his soul rest in peace.

I met Dale at CPAC and the cruise. He was one of the nicest guys I never would have wanted to tangle with.
This one hits real close to home.

Dear God, this is so sad. Dale loved Trump and wanted to see him win the presidency. My tears and prayers are for his beautiful wife, (widow). They were a lovely, charming and very sweet couple. God hold Dale dear and close. He’s one in a zillion.

I remember a decisive post by Dale Reed during the BP oil spill.
He pointed out that enormous oil seeps had been a feature of the area for centuries - so much so that ship captains used to caulk their hulls with the pitch that found its way to shore.
You will be missed Dale.
