George Lewis (born 1943) is a retired American television journalist who worked for NBC News for 43 years from 1969 to 2012. His stories have appeared on NBC Nightly News.

Lewis joined NBC in December 1969 as a war correspondent covering the Vietnam War. He also covered the Iranian hostage crisis from 1979 to 1981, the 1989 Tiananmen Square revolt in China, and Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Lewis has won three Emmys, the George Foster Peabody Award, and the Edward R. Murrow Award throughout his career covering wars and other events abroad.[1]

Based in Los Angeles, Lewis now regularly reports on the revolution in information technology.[1] In 1993, he did a Nightly News series titled Almost 2001, which marked the beginning of interactive electronic exchanges between television networks and their viewers.

Those watching the reports were urged to send e-mails, some of which were read on the air.[1] It was an early use of the word "dot-com" on a news program.[2] He retired from NBC News on January 25, 2012.

Memorial Service Pending for Ex-Wife of NBC’s George Lewis

Memorial arrangements were pending Thursday for the ex-wife of retired NBC News correspondent George Lewis, who was killed when her car crashed off Interstate 5 in the Oceanside area and plunged into the Santa Margarita River.

Jane Cook Lewis, 74, of Bay Park, drowned when her southbound 2004 Chrysler Pacifica veered off the freeway for unknown reasons and sank in about six feet of water shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, according to the California Highway Patrol and county Medical Examiner’s Office.

They are that brazen. They know there will be no real push to get answers. If they don’t have whatever the guy took, all he has to do is take the 5th. Look at Sandy Berger. Everybody knew he was guilty. They knew what he was guilty of, but we still don’t know what he took. This is all going to make an interesting movie when/if the truth comes out.

In addition to the notes, the cleaner has something cupped in his left hand. It’s still in his hand as he walks across the stage to meet up with Holt. He is not holding the folder in either hand at that point, he is using his arm to hold it against his body. Whatever it was, it is no longer in his hand when he intersects with Holt.

You can also see him stick his right hand into his pocket as he crosses the stage.

I despise conspiracy types as well. . .but I see the guy approaching Holt and switching hands as they approach each other for what appears to me like a hand-off was in progress. And why would Holt make a bee-line to the back of the stage instead of a) stay and chat with well-wishers and such as been done by previous moderators, or b) depart stage left or right, as that is how he entered the debate arena.

Trump had no notepad on his podium, and notepads are to be provided by the Commission, the candidate is not supposed to bring their own for obvious reasons.

There is reasonable doubt that if this were a court case, she would be guilty of cheating.

I read that he is former NBC (retired) and now a “freelancer”. Is there some source that shows he’s on her payroll? I didn’t see it but that doesn’t mean he isn’t. Just curious because it sure looked like he gave Holt the folder in a low pass and then gave a look like “we did it!”. Thanks.

My thoughts exactly! Trump is a deal maker. He even wrote a book about making deals. Soo, I thought, he’s going to really make the debates fair. First time in a long time.

But then the moderators are all liberals. What??...I wondered. Then all this other stuff ... Hillary’s hand signals and the cleaner. What a disappointment in Trump and even Rudy who has been in politics and is Trumps close advisor.
