Viewers tuning in for the rowdy first presidential debate got their fair share of verbal sparring, but amidst the fireworks many appeared distracted by something else: Donald Trump's sniffle.
The Republican candidate sniffled repeatedly during Monday night's debate — setting off social-media memes and sparking the hashtag #TrumpSniffle.
While Trump's opponent Hillary Clinton — whose coughs made frequent fodder for Republicans — did not mention his sniffles, former Democratic presidential candidate and DNC chairman Howard Dean did.
The former six-term Vermont governor took to Twitter not with a meme but with a message, suggesting that Trump's nasal troubles could be due to cocaine use.
There was no immediate response from the Trump campaign to the question Dean posed.
However, Trump told Fox News on Tuesday that there were "no sniffles" and that he didn't have a cold.
Sounds like projection from a has-been.

LOL! Hillary is getting more drugs daily than Trump has had in the last 30 years for any and all conditions that might have required drugs - and his drugs were more likely antibiotics....instead of the “good stuff”.

When Trump speaks, and he needs to draw a new breath, he takes in that breath through his nose. Most people don’t, but he does. That’s what they heard.
These overpaid dim-whits who write columns really need to step away from the pipe and take in some reality.
Trump does not drink, smoke, or use drugs. Never has.
Dean is so dumb. He gives some competition to Biden.
The sniffling was not sniffling. It was breathing. Trump’s mike was too far away from his head on the lecturn. Hillary’s was right in front of her fangs. The audio techs probably increased the sensitivity of his mike to be sure it caught his words for that reason and it picked up his very breathing.
Howard Dean is despicable.

Dean must have just read Obama’s book again and got confused on who the drug dealer/pusher is.
To me it sounded exactly like what Donald Trump said it was - the mike. I noticed in the beginning every time he breathe, the mike was picking it up. Later I didn’t noticed, so he either moved further away from the mike or an adjustment was made.
When I bother to put my earing aids on, this is what close noise sounds like. It was the mike picking up his breathing. Wouldn’t be surprised if it was done purposely.
