How Trump won over a bar full of undecideds and Democrats

YOUNGSTOWN, Pa. – Ken Reed sat down at main bar of the Tin Lizzy tavern with two things in mind, to dig into the tavern’s oversized cheese steak and watch the presidential debate.

“I am hungry and undecided in that order,” he said digging into the savory dish in a bar that dates back to 1746.

Kady Letoksy, a paralegal by day, a waitress and bartender at night at the Tin Lizzy sat beside him, at 28 she has never voted before, she is now thinking it might be a good idea.

Letosky entered the evening undecided in a town that is heavily Democratic in registration, her Dad she says is ‘extremely liberal’ her sister the opposite. “Trump had the upper-hand this evening,” she said, citing his command of the back-and-forth between her and Clinton.

Those who vote for her are either looking for larger handouts or paychecks from the government, or those who hate America.

EXCERPTS...

“Have to say Trump had the edge this evening, he came out swinging but also talked about specifics on jobs and the economy,” Reed said.

Reed said Clinton came across as either smug or as though she was reading her resume, adding there was nothing on her resume that reached his life, “I am a small businessman, a farmer, come from a long line of farmers and coal miners, the policies she talked about tonight ultimately either hurt me or ignore me,” he said

The waitress obviously knows nothing about debate styles (/sarcasm)

Hillary's performance may have gone over well with the egghead, inside the beltway crowd. But I don't think it didn't played very well in Peoria. I “forced” a nonpolitical cousin to watch the debate last night (he wanted to watch football). He literally knows nothing about politics or the campaign other than “the guy from Celebrity Apprentice” and “Bill Clinton's old lady” are the candidates. His comments about 1/2 hour in about Hillary, “She sure is a smug, know-it-all b—ch, isn't she? Reminds me of my ex-wife....” and about Trump, “He makes sense, really down to earth for a politician...”

People don’t get that this was a terrible hail Mary by the media and dems.

They needed a TKO. They didn’t get it.

The “mod” was too visible.

Hillary didn’t project “warmth”, which was her only mission other than not fainting.

Tons of Hillary negatives were left unexplored. With 2.5 more debates, that is not a good thing to not have had delt with, and done, at the first.

All of the usual “ Trump is a blah blah blah” stuff is out there and done with no real damage. People ultimately dont care about the BC, Iraq War vote, or tax returns.

Trump now knows Hillary’s debate “flow”. Scripted, and cold, with an overreliance on mods.

That leaves Trump with 2.5 debates to hammer her on unexplored negatives, and to shake 1st debate nerves. She still wont be able to generate excitement on the stump from a debate either.

Holt’s display in this debate was too early, and too heavy, and would have been better in #3. Now Trump will be ready for it, and the public will be LOOKING for it to dismiss it.

Planned by Trump or a lucky fluke, Hillary and the press basically just gave Trump the keys to the store out of desperation.

I could careless about debate style or articulation. It was content, content and content. Which is of course als, what was not said. Trump said all of the right things. Hillary said nothing but Tax and Spend

[Planned by Trump or a lucky fluke,]

Leaders are GOD’S instruments, whom He directs to accomplish His purposes. He arranges victory paths for them. He alone decides who rises and falls.

KEEP PRAYING! KEEP CAMPAIGNING!

Nice analysis...

Trump didn’t come off badly, sure we political grognards wanted more, but this was his first time with much room for improvement. Hillary I suspect is at her peak and needs help from the moderator (as if that word describes what Mr. Holt did).

And to be quite honest, winning the first debate only sets the hurdle high for the remaining ones. Much better to save your best ammunition for the final debate.

In a year where people (undecideds) want Change, Hillary didn’t come across as an agent of change.

The election is a marathon and not a sprint.

You’re story is very telling. We all knew if she actually was able to stand the MSM would declare it a crushing Hillary victory. On how polished she was, what a command of the issues she has, how Donald was a broad stroking uninformed buffoon. What the MSM misses and why her debate performance was a big plate of fail was she made absolutely no dent in the perception she nothing more than a polished, slick, lying, scumbag politician. Donald won on points last night. I watched the debate and have since I saw Carter\Reagan in 1980 and was on my HS debate team....DT won, period. Sorry MSM you lost the academic argument also.

So far, so good. Trump held his own against her. Stayed calm and on message.

You know Trump did well last night in the debate, when her campaign surrogates are calling it a “draw”.

I made the mistake of clicking on the link to the NY Post website, which reads Like a fax from HRC campaign headquarters

And this week when their rigged polls show little or no movement towards Hillary..they can masturbate themselves to their own prose on how she was so brilliant.
