So why did Cruz feel the need to comment? Like people care what he thinks?

Quite a few people in the #nevertrump camp do, and a lot of his supporters do.

By him backing Trump now, some of the people that were going to protest vote for him (yes there are a few) might change their vote now.

I am glad Cruz gets it. I was told that Glenn Beck apologized for having ever supported Cruz. Can this be true? Beck brings to mind a geeky Judas with psychiatric issues.

After that debate and seeing how biased Holt was I am now on board and will happily vote Trump. And I wasn’t happy about Trump before but after seeing how the Media carried water for Clinton it’s time to get solid behind Trump.

I have to vote for Trump, because we all lose if Hillary wins. That said, he is a dreadful candidate. He was unable to articulate why his policies—if he has them—are actually better for minorities. When he gets stuck, he just repeats a point—sometimes not such a great one—over and over.

Believe it or not people do care what he thinks. Cruz is recognized as one of the best debaters on the nation scene and if he is praising Trump for his best performance then is carries some weight. Reading the comments from yesterday people, like myself, were not thrilled with Trump’s debate performance as he left too many issues on the table. However, reading Cruz’ and others like Pat Caddell’s comments tells me our guy is be fine. My contacts on the Trump team for Pennsylvania tell me that he met all the goals they had set out for him and that he will improve upon yesterday’s performance. Cruz’s increased activity for Trump should further galvanize the move of Republicans towards Trump. After the convention an estimated 75% of Republicans backed him. A week ago that number was around 89% and I have read where it is higher today. Cruz’s support, as will the support of other thumb sucking Republicans “neverTrumpers”, help in this regard. We need this number to be around 95% to 97%. Internal polling has Trump even and rising in Pennsylvania and if the election were held today the Democrats would win the state by 4%. This is due to precincts in Philly turning out 200% of registered voters as the graveyards empty out their voters. We are in an all hands on board situation if we are to win this. I am happy to have Cruz aboard.

Well since my posting privileges have been restored after the debate last night.

I must say go Cruz. Go America.

I will be voting for Trump in November for one reason only, because Clinton cannot be allowed to win. I came to this conclusion not because of Cruz but because there is no alternative.

All the vile hatred for Cruz and Levin need to be put to bed here, constant bashing of the most conservative candidate we had in the race and the most conservative talk show host we have on the air does nothing but alienate those whom you want on your side, even if you don’t agree with them 100%.

Conservatives and conservatism is not the enemy. Liberals, progressives, or whatever else the tree hugging, woodstock generation is and spawns is the enemy.

Sorry, I wasn’t aware that there is a requirement to read every thread on FR.

It was widely discussed here and elsewhere that Cruz’s failure to endorse Trump at the convention effectively marked the end point of his political career.

Apparently, he gave that some thought, and decided that he didn’t want to be known as a sore loser.

I hope he’s sincere.

I like how you lumped in #nevertrump with Cruz...fancy...

Most the #nevertrumper legion of the establishment HATED Cruz, fought him in the Senate, besmearched him, ran directly against his filibusters to bring unconstitutional acts into the public view.

His supporters were not (in large part) never Trump.

Hillary is the biggest liar of all time.

Someone needs to tell Trump about Hillary and her real plan here so Trump can hit Her with this on the next debate or in ads:

This is how Hillary plans to turn the USA into Venezuela. Cruz , Jeb and other never Trumpers and democrats willingly electing Hilary is America committing suicide:

Hillary promised executive amnesty to 40 million illegals
in first 100 days. This proves Hillary is 1 million times worse than Obama.

And Hillary plans to dissolve the U.S. border first 100 days:

http://www.breitbart.com/2016-presidential-race/2016/05/25/clinton-releases-plan-dissolve-us-border-within-100-days/

that means 10’s of millions of more voters for Hillary/socialism. Hillary is worse than ObAMA AND Chavez combined. If Hillary wins America is done and will become Venezuela . They have no food nor medicine in Venezuela now because of socialism. it doesn’t work. first Hillary will implement single payer healthcare. Google it. it’s true . and all that don’t do everything to stop Hilliary it’s what they are doing is destroying America.

Trump outlined his immigration policy in a speech. Ann coulter said that was the greatest speech she ever heard and I agree. why don’t you all read it or see it? All Americans have to unite to defeat Hillary the communist = Chavez

Help spread all this message above to all Americans . Hillary is 1 million times worse than Obama .

I get Hillary at max 38%. So the online polls are much closer than the State-Run Media polls.

Amazing. The fascist with a disease is poised to take over for the vulture of Islam to move the caliphate forward, and people here are berating Cruz and playing right into the hand of the Clinton crime family.

Well and truly said

Your’re kidding right? Cruz got several million votes from conservatives. He is now trying to help DTJ. Put your attitude aside and try to win this election.

Ted is playing catch-up on his ass kissing now that Trump appears to be winning.

Correct.

However, Trump needs every ally he can get at this point, no matter how fickle.

Motives can be scrutinized later.
