When thinking about critical issues defining this Novembers presidential election, most Americans identify foreign policy concerns, growing Islamist terror threats, and Supreme Court appointments as being the high stakes issues. And while most consider jobs and the economy equally important, very few realize just how precarious the U.S. financial condition really is.
In a recent campaign speech, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump stated that Fed chief Janet Yellen should be ashamed of herself for what she was doing to Americans and for creating a false stock market. As has so often been the case, Trumps direct manner of speaking brought on immediate criticism by the establishment and its surrogates in the media. But Trump was factually correct about his charge that the economy has been distorted by the Feds Zero Interest Rate Policy (ZIRP), which has penalized savers, encouraged debt expansion, and driven the stock market to an artificially high level. In addition to ZIRP, the Feds money printing and bond-buying programs carried out during the last seven and a half years have served to bail out and mask President Obamas failed economic policies.
A zero interest rate policy not only cant promote wealth creation, it impedes it by distorting the pricing of credit and creating uncertainty that dampens economic activity. The result has been the somewhat arbitrary and unnatural shifting around of wealth, penalizing savers and rewarding debtors -- such as companies who borrow to fund stock buybacks to raise the per share earnings and the stock price, rather than borrowing to finance business expansion and new jobs.

In the debates the delivery, who’s honest, and who stammered all count as negatives if the delivery isn’t smooth, the honesty seems absent, and of course stammering, or hesitation of any sort is interpreted as ignorance.
Hillary is a congenital liar. Perhaps a pathological liar, or both. I don’t know, but no matter, because she is one, the other, or both she’s smooth as they come when it’s debate time. If she doesn’t know an answer she will lie about the topic in debate however she wants, and with a straight face.
All too many in this country don’t pay attention to politics, issues until just before an election IF they do then. That’s a lot of voters. They are the ones that put Obama into the WH twice. Hillary is counting on those voters with no real knowledge of what’s going on, but want to be a part of the historical moment a woman is voted into the WH. Her background is unknown to her voters, or if they do know they don’t believe it, or don’t care.
Trump has to scale the wall before him. A wall built by the Democrat party that consists of false narratives, outright lies, ignorance, and laziness, the latter being why it took so long to build the wall.
