An online campaign to raise money for the children of Terence Crutcher the unarmed black man who was shot and killed last week by a white Tulsa, Okla., police officer has raised more than $120,000 in less than a day.
The fundraising campaigns GoFundMe page, which was created by the law firm representing the family, received more than 4,800 donations since its launch Wednesday morning. The fund, which will be used to assist Crutchers four children as they deal with the tragic loss of their father, is about $50,000 shy of its $175,000 goal.
Crutchers killing attracted national attention this week after the Tulsa Police Department released videos from a police helicopter and a police cruiser dashcam that show the 40-year-old Crutcher walking to his SUV with his hands over his head before he was shot.
The officer, 42-year-old Betty Shelby, was placed on paid administrative leave as homicide detectives investigate the case. An attorney for Shelby said she had recently undergone drug-recognition training and believed Crutcher was acting erratically and under the influence of PCP. Tulsa police say they found the drug inside Crutchers car.

all he had to do was stop
This could help get them off the dole.
Ah yes, somebody hit the lottery.
This doesn’t bother me at all. The perp is still dead and the kids still need to go on with their lives. I expect a civil suit to contribute even more money to the children. Even if the officer isn’t convicted of any charges, it will be hard to see the city not coughing up money to make the whole thing go away.
4 words.
Thirty four inch wheels
“This could help get them off the dole.”
Yeah, for about a month. Everybody knows that story.
Just chump money before the pay check!
This Philadelphia police officer was ambushed and shot at 18 times last Friday night (6 of the bullets hit her) and survived.
She will likely get a meager pension which won't cover the psychological counseling and physical therapy that she'll need probably for the rest of her life.
Where's her Black Lives Matter? Where's her GoFundMe page?

Terence Crutcher was shot and killed on Sept. 16 in an officer-involved shooting in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since then, the media have tried to push a false narrative that
Crutcher had his hands up when he was shot but video evidence, as it often does in these cases, disproved the medias theory.
Theres also more information that the mainstream media conveniently left out.
Crutcher had a hefty criminal record before he was shot. In fact, he had just been released in May after nine years in prison for drug trafficking, WZ reported.
He also had a history of resisting arrest. Behold the rap sheet:
1996 Shooting with intent to kill Dismissed
2001 Petit larceny Conviction
2004 Driving while suspended Conviction
2005 Driving while suspended, resisting officer Conviction
2006 Driving while suspended Conviction
Driving with open container Dismissed
2006 Trafficking in illegal drugs Conviction. (He was also charged in that incident with assault on a police officer and resisting, but that was dismissed.)
2011 Public intoxication (while in prison for drug trafficking) Conviction
2012 Public intoxication Conviction
Obstructing an officer Conviction
2013 DUI Conviction
Resisting officer Conviction
Open Container Conviction
Failure to wear seatbelt Conviction
Speeding Conviction
But even all of that was not all.
Take a look at the numerous open warrants for Crutcher.
These Aug. 30 warrants were active at the time of his death, and as you can see in the graphic below, they included things like DUI, resisting, drug trafficking and public intoxication.
The media are actively pushing the narrative that Crutcher had his hands up and that the police shot him anyway.
Weve heard this lie peddled by the media before, in the Michael Brown case, and clearly the obtuse media didnt learn a thing.
Now, you watch that video and listen to the commentary. Did it look to you like Crutcher was following commands? You can hear an officer say that Crutcher was still walking and that he wasnt following commands. Another officer said that he could be on something.
Take a look at these pictures Bearing Arms grabbed from the video that disprove the medias false narrative:
As you can see, Crutcher was not shot with his hands up. He was clearly flouting officer orders, and at the time of his shooting he lowered his right hand toward his waistband.
Oh, and by the way, the media have run with the story that Crutcher was unarmed, but didnt seem too interested in the PCP that was found in his car and that the Tulsa Police Department officer who shot Crutcher, Betty Shelby, was trained to spot PCP abuse, according to Bearing Arms.
In any of these cases, the legal system should be given time to do its job, but the media have decided to run false narratives that fit their agenda without all the facts and, in some cases, despite the facts.
As you can see above, theres clearly more to the story.
True.
Of course her life doesn't matter...she works for "THE MAN".
Another black scofflaw. Giving our civilization the middle finger.
Sad...
How is one at large with a warrant for “resisting.”
That sounds like the ultimate oxymoron.
Hummm.........I have yet to see his ‘wife’ and ‘children’. It seems his sister is doing all the talking.
They also like to leave the fact that he had PCP in the SUV with him.
I bet this mess will keep black folks outta libraries for decades.
Books will get you killed.
Let people open one up for her if they care.
There are a lot more darkness-cursers than candle-lighters, I suspect.
