Hillary Clinton Declares War On The Right To Work
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 9/22/2016 | John Merline

Democrats love to talk about rights. They say people have the "right to affordable health care," the "right to a debt free college education," the "right to choose," and so on.

But there's one right they apparently want to erase: The right to work.

Here's how Hillary Clinton put it in a videoconference this week at the Laborers' International Union of North America: "I will fight back against so-called right to work. Right to work is wrong for workers and wrong for America."

Come again? The right to work is wrong for America?

Clinton is referring to state right-to-work laws that give employees the right to work without being forced to join a union. In states without these laws, unions can force new and existing employees to join a union or pay union dues as a condition of employment at unionized companies.

So true! Good employees are an asset to their employer, they don’t need a union to secure their jobs. Union’s main function, outside of politics, has been to support “dead weight” employees...the ones who don’t do a proficient job.
Government employees unions have a bad rap for just this reason.

I urge all FReepers to join the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation. It is an organization worthy of your support.

“The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation is a nonprofit, charitable organization providing free legal aid to employees whose human or civil rights have been violated by compulsory unionism abuses. The Foundation, which can be contacted toll-free at 1-800-336-3600, is assisting thousands of employees in nearly 200 cases nationwide. The Foundation’s mailing address is 8001 Braddock Road, Springfield, Virginia 22160. Its web address is http://nrtw.org/.";

Check them out, please. They are working to cleanse America of compulsory unionism. Theirs is a FReedom issue that FReepers can and should support.

Having said that, and segueing to the subject at hand, can any of you even imagine what Hitlery the Harridan would be like in the “Bully Pulpit?”

This little tirade might, just might, mind you, be a reminder of our future if Hitlery the Harridan is elected POTUS.

PLEASE! PLEASE! Do all you can to help us defeat Hitlery the Harridan!

Hitler cozied up to the unions to get the majority of votes needed to be chancellor

I see freeperized history marches on unabated. Hitler was named chancellor by President Hindenburg. He was not elected to that position.

And letting Unions expand into gummint employment in a big way was a mistake. Whose idea? Bill Clinton.

No, John F. Kennedy.

What a strange picture? Is it Photoshopped, or is that the real thing?

If it is accurate, then it would seem that you are correct in that they are both on some sort of “upper.”

Only illegals have a “right to work” (no harassment, deportation, etc for them). Everyone else has a “right to welfare”.

Out of context, it does sound stupid.

But to a union member, it's the holy grail.

If you don't already know, "right to work" means a state has a law that prohibits a clause in a union contract that requires all employees at a particular business to join the union. This arrangement is also known as a "closed shop".

But, 26 states (plus Guam) have "right to work" laws -- mostly in the south and west.

I have to wonder if Clinton realizes union membership has fallen to about 11.3% (in 2013) of all workers in the US. That's down from 20.1% in 1983. Yes, union members is a key Democrat constituency, but statements like this wont endear her to the other 89% -- especially ones that don't know what "right to work" actually means in this context.

And “Why aren’t I up by 50 points” is her “please clap” comment.

And my response: "Because you are a lying, corrupt bitch."

They hold the people hostage, not some rich CEO. For example the Transportation union in New York city went on strike around 10 years ago and basically shut down the whole city preventing millions of people from getting to work.

I was there that week. I saw a guy rollerblading down the street to get to work. :-)

This was post 9/11, when NYC was still recovering. The strike only lasted a couple of days -- until the NY Post published the union's demands, and what the average transit worker was already earning, and what the city was offering.

When that information was published, public sentiment quickly swung against the union. People living and working in NYC were pissed, and the leadership of the union quickly realized they should settle before the city started hiring replacements.

Hitlery, would the fact that you are a Hateful Harridan be a factor?

And that you are a LIEberal?

Perhaps we Americans DON’T LIKE and WILL NOT VOTE for a LIEberal Hateful Harridan has much to do with your coming loss on November 8.

Then ALL AMERICANS can all breathe a sigh of PROFOUND RELIEF and send you on your way!

GOOD RIDDANCE TO BAD RUBBISH!
