Actually congress had successfully defunded this twice over the past two years. But this year ICANN had better consultants and lobbyists.

Yes, the Turtle (or Turkey as some call him) McConnell is now the turd in the punch bowl :( I called his office and informed them I wanted 3034 to be considered!
On a more encouraging note, my elected “representatives” are getting some calls and one is considering a co-sponsorship...There is a lot of noise out there. I think Trump’s comments today helping to bring some attention to the issue!
This ought to get even more millenials on Trumps’s side.

Did not see Eagle Forum email, but I hope they mention about insisting that The Protection of Internet Freedom Act legislation be included in the Continuing Resolution as Mitch McConnell wants a “Clean” Continuing Resolution which does not seem to include any language about SB3034. (see McClatchy article above)
However, I think pressure can be brought on this from Senators contacted by constituents—it is an election year...
...I have been emailing articles to various folks, so hopefully word is getting out.

One thing to consider though.
Trump did not wait for Cruz to endorse him.
Another example — Trump is the bigger man and more presidential.
