The U.S. should not turn control of the Internet over to the United Nations and the international community. President Obama intends to do so on his own authority – just 10 days from now, on October 1st, unless Congress acts quickly to stop him.
The Republicans in Congress are admirably leading a fight to save the Internet this week, and need all the help the American people can give them to be successful. Hillary Clinton’s Democrats are refusing to protect the American people by not protecting the Internet.
The U.S. created, developed and expanded the Internet across the globe. U.S. oversight has kept the Internet free and open without government censorship – a fundamental American value rooted in our Constitution’s Free Speech clause. Internet freedom is now at risk with the President’s intent to cede control to international interests, including countries like China and Russia, which have a long track record of trying to impose online censorship. Congress needs to act, or Internet freedom will be lost for good, since there will be no way to make it great again once it is lost."

Contrary to their lies, there is no legal protection for military websites, not with Obama or Hillary in the White House.
And foreign tyrants can use ICANN to legitimize their censorship.
There’s all kinds of opportunity for mischief.
Many young skulls full of mush are opposed to free speech. That’s one of our problems.
Facebook drones are so cloistered that they are GLAD that news about Islamic extremism is censored.
Palmer and I had been going through the technical and legal aspects of this, and while its scary, Trump could actually do a lot to restore free speech after he’s sworn in [at least in the US].
If Hillary wins, free speech is done. But otherwise ...

This if very timely, Eagle Forum just sent out emails asking us all to CALL our congress critters and oppose this ASAP as it is set to take place in a matter of a couple of days. Or give up US control of our own internet.

After September 30 ICANN could defer to international law rather than US law.
What happens then?
They alter their Registry Operator Code of Conduct and Obama says he has ‘no controlling legal authority’ since it’s based on treaties. So he is ‘forced’ to accomodate them with Justice Department assistance, federal compliance, etc.
This could even affect military websites under Obama’s watch and [God forbid] Hillary’s watch.
Foreign tyrants will be able to do the same thing.
The Congress didn’t give a rats azz about this until two weeks ago. This is their typical last minute kabuki theater. They should have put a stop to it months ago.
