Evan Osnos of the New Yorker faced the tortuous work of trying to divine what a Donald Trump White House would actually do. President Trumps First Term considers the possibility that in his first days running the country, Trump could renounce the Paris agreement, revive an examination of the Keystone XL pipeline and take the initial steps toward a trade war with China.
Too late for inclusion in Osnoss harrowing projection: a possible Trump defamation suit against the New York Times. In an interview Monday night with Bill OReilly of Fox News, Trump was asked what would happen if Hillary Clinton sought to play the womens card. Flashing his distinct inability to converse in a straight line, Trump answered like this: Well, you know, the New York Times wrote a story about me and women. And it turned out that it was a false story. And honestly, were going to take that up with them a little bit later date. Well get rid of this first. We will go through this little process first which I think is going to end very successfully on November 8th, said Trump. After riffing about his great prospects, he continued, But the New York Times wrote a story about women. And the women called the office, she said, we never said that about Donald Trump. There is a line between journalism and defamation, and the NYT and most of the rest have already crossed it.
Trump could renounce the Paris agreement, revive an examination of the Keystone XL pipeline and take the initial steps toward a trade war with China.
MSM’s real governing priority: helping Democrats hold on to power.
So true. That’s when I started tuning in to his rallies. When I heard the hate and ridicule coming from the media, Hollywood and the political class, I just knew this guy must be something different and I gave him a listen. I absolutely love this magnificent man.
Oh, and hassling the media = calling out the media. It’s like a parent hassling a teen - it most likely means trying to make them responsible and accountable.
The NYT and other fifth-column leftist media long ago crossed the line from journalism to giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
There's a new sheriff in town, and he's not backing down.
Maybe if you were not such incompetent politically bigoted narcissistic morons Dc “press” corps you would not need to be hassled.
One of the things I like most about Trump is that he’s taking a wrecking ball to the vile media and political correctness.
The propaganda organs are this country’s enemy one.
Yes, and I am going to thoroughly enjoy watching EVERY DAMNED MINUTE OF IT!!!!
The propaganda organs are this countrys enemy one.
Here is an idea—ban public funding (including student loans) for all journalism schools.
If they want to teach their students to be biased lefties then let them survive on private funding.
Someone should ask the author of this tripe if the media deserves protection by the first amendment if that are openly partisan.
