Several emergency crews are at the scene of an incident at Marlborough Mall Saturday afternoon.
Reports suggest that an officer was attacked by a machete.
There is no word yet on what led to the incident or how many people were involved.
Calgary EMS spokesman Nate Pike says first responders were called to the Marlborough Mall in the city’s east end Saturday afternoon.
Pike says a Calgary police officer was taken to Foothills Hospital in what is described as stable, non life threatening condition with soft-tissue injuries.
He says a second patient was also taken to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition.
Pike says he doesn’t believe the officer’s injuries were the result of a firearm.
Police could not immediately be reached for comment.

The machete just up and attacked the policeman, just like some guns and some SUVs just turn on humans all on their own.
What a silly,strange women that was. How did she get in a University? She obviously needs mental help.

Yes, indeed! The young woman in question has agreed NOW that the man is allowed to wear his hat (because she was told this by the university and she received death threats!) but she is still defending her actions as based on good intentions.

I just learned a Machete is not a “firearm”???, and it attacked an officer. Hmmm.
Yeah, I think we need to hurry in buying our machetes before background checks are required.
