Liberal Tonight Show viewers were left incensed after host Jimmy Fallon did not try to take down Donald Trump or attempt to trip him up with “gotcha” questions during the pair’s interview on the NBC program Thursday night.
Instead, Fallon hosted Trump for an entertaining but insightful interview, during which the candidate clarified his relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, talked about the upcoming first presidential debate and let the late-night host “mess up” his usually well-kept hair.
That wasn’t enough for progressives on Twitter, who took to the platform late Thursday night and Friday morning to excoriate Fallon for doing his job. Fallon’s name was still trending as of 9 a.m. Friday.

I've watched Fallon off and on for years. I've come to the conclusion he might be a closet conservative but has to act like a liberal to keep his gig. The man is funny and very talented IMO.

Fallon probably did not consider it his job to take down Trump as the members of the Ministry of Propaganda do.

I had the same thought as I read this and other screetching Prog rants about Fallon’s interview. We are all just -ists and -phobes to them. We’re fast approaching that point where they will gladly push us into train cars for transport to camps.

off topic, but this makes me think of the commander in chief forum with Matt Lauer.
The liberals were incensed there, that Lauer did not “take down” Trump.
The general consensus seems to be that Trump did well in that forum, and that Hillary performed poorly.
Rather than the liberals discussing Hillary’s poor performance, or discussing what Hillary said at that forum, the liberals instead had a temper tantrum directed at Matt Lauer. They claimed that he wasn’t fair to HIllary, or some such pablum.
Rather than discuss the shortcomings of their candidate, the liberals decided that the moderator was to blame. There’s liberal logic for you.
They're already at that point in their hearts. The only thing stopping them is the means and uncertainty of getting away with it.
