A judge in Canada is facing removal from the bench for his conduct when he asked a woman in a rape case why she couldn't "just keep [her] knees together."
Federal Court Judge Robin Camp is in the midst of a week-long judicial council hearing, which will determine whether he ought to be booted from his position.
The case in question took place in 2014 when Camp was a provincial court judge. (He became a Federal Judge last year.)
The 19-year-old woman said she was raped over a bathroom sink during a house party.

“Testifying at the hearing Friday, Camp [the judge] offered this defense for his comments: “a non-existent” knowledge of Canadian criminal law. “
An honest judge anyway...
He must not be familiar with a woman anatomy either.
Nice.
After I was attacked in my home in my bed at 3:00 a.m. as I lay fast asleep, by a strange man, the first thing the cops asked me, I kid you not, was, “What were you wearing?”
Then, when they caught the guy and I appeared in court, the first thing the prosecutor asked me after he asked my name was, “What were you wearing?”
To this day I do not understand what I was wearing under the covers (T-shirt and panties) had anything to do with anything.
I can see the insensitivity of the question, nonetheless, IMO the answer to such a question, if differently worded, could yield much information about how physically violent the attacker was, what type of threats were made to coerce her as well as reveal more about her physical and mental state, such as was she drugged by the perp or what.
All facts should come out in a serious matter such as this, no questions should be disqualified.
I am so sorry for that terrible encounter you suffered.
I cannot understand the clothing questions, either.
So is judge Robin Camp a muzzie convert?
Judges everywhere forgetting what a Judge is

The implication being of course...what did you do to deserve it....
We’ve had elderly women whose homes were broken into in the middle of the night in my city, who were raped...by younger men.
A woman’s clothing isn’t the issue. Male self discipline and self control IS.
I own a rabid Chihuahua ....no problems.
“Male self discipline and self control IS.”
You know, if one were to take that to mean that all men would be rapists without self discipline and self control, it would be pretty insulting.
I don’t need self discipline and self control not to rape. I find the idea of hurting someone in that way to be repulsive, and I think most men do.
I find the thought of looking in the mirror and seeing a rapist to be horrifying.
So very sorry for what you went through. I cannot fathom a mind that would think of asking that.
Oh stop it, snowflake.
She is talking about the rapist’s lack of self-control.
I’m a man, and I approve this message.
Cut it out yourself.
I’m gloriously male, and I do NOT approve of PrarieLady2’s snide insinuation that all males are potential rapists. Her comment WAS insulting!
That kind of crap leads to what happened at UVa with the false rape charge, and the mattress girl who trotted all around Columbia for years, claiming rape after consensual relations.
There are many, many, more cases. Can anybody say “Duke Lacrosse Team” case?
What PrarieLady2 wrote and how dsc took it was EXACTLY how I took it.
So “snowflake” please stick it up your politically correct and unthinking arse.
Cheers,
‘Pod
The question should have been “what handgun did you use to kill this piece of garbage?”
I hope you’ve found peace.

Well, sexy clothing does affect some men.

“A womans clothing isnt the issue. Male self discipline and self control IS.”
So, you are a woman in your bed at 3:00 AM and a man is in your bedroom to accost you.
This is the story that PrairieLady2 is speaking to in her post TO AUNTIE MAME!
We have IDIOT MEN on this board, looking to be offended like little pansy-boys.
Shove your own head up your own arses.
Stop posting to me, panty-waste.
I wish I could convey how sorry I am that you had that happen to you. God bless you.
When my mother lived in a basement apartment while my father was somewhere else that the military wanted him to be, she heard someone coming in the bathroom window while she was in bed. She screamed as loud as she could which, blessedly, scared the person away. The sad thing was that not one other tenant bothered to check on her or called the police, despite the thin walls. I think she moved back home or got a roommate until my father returned.
What an idiotic excuse for a judge.
