Four Americans died in the 2012 terror attack in Benghazi, and those who survived saw their stories of heroism told in a Hollywood movie, but the filmmaker whose work was wrongly blamed for touching off the event lives in obscurity, poverty and fear, FoxNews.com has learned.
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, the Coptic Christian whose short video The Innocence of Muslims was initially faulted for sparking the Sept. 11, 2012 terror attack at U.S. diplomatic compounds in Libya, is now living in a homeless shelter run by First Southern Baptist Church in Buena Park, Calif. He has served time in prison, been shamed publicly by the White House and threatened with death. I dont believe in democracy anymore, Nakoula told FoxNews.com. I dont think there is such a thing as freedom of speech.
In the aftermath of the Benghazi attack, President Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton seized on the anti-Islamist film as the cause of a spontaneous protest that turned violent. U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith and CIA contractors Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed when armed terrorists laid siege to the compound and set it ablaze.

“...A few weeks after his release, Nakoula began working on Innocence of Muslims. Conditions of Nakoula’s probation include not using aliases [”Sam Bacile”] and not using the internet without prior approval from his probation officer....”
In no way am I cutting the WH & Hillary any slack. I just can't find any compassion for him because he created the situation in which using him as a scapegoat was made possible. He did this to himself. Actions have consequences. The actions of the WH in no way make his more palatable.
More importantly, those violations gave us the lie. Had he not posted the video on the internet (a clear violation) there would have not been an internet video. Hillary would not have been able to lie about the video when she spoke with the families.
Violating his parole by using the internet to post that video gave Obama all he needed to shift the blame away from his failures, saving his ass in November. So cry me a river.....Not. He is as bad as the rest of them. He is no victim. They all can rot in hell as far as I am concerned.
Yea, free-speech is TOTALLY overrated.
Thank you very much. The Jackson is on its way along with my video version of Muhammad.
You are right. We should feel sorry for Hillary Clinton. She has sacrificed so much, lied so well, and in about 4 months and a week will be looking at a new President who will be more than willing to prosecute her for her criminal activity.
Another life destroyed by Baraq Insane Obama, Shrillary Klintoon, and Susan Rice.
This isn’t about free speech. He can say anything he wants. I am free to agree or disagree. A person on probation has the right of free speech as long he does not violate his probation when exercising that right.
A person on probation is not a free man. His freedom is dependent upon abiding by the terms of his probation. Violate those terms and risk being yanked off the street. Two things will happen. Sit in jail until a hearing or serve out the remainder of a sentence.
His violations opened him up to being yanked off the street and being used by the WH.
I am in no way defending the WH. There is no defense. But he is no victim, either. We would not be having this particular discussion had he excercised his right of free speech within the terms of his probation.
“You are right. We should feel sorry for Hillary Clinton. “
Learn to read, then your replies might have a better chance at making sense.
“Yea, free-speech is TOTALLY overrated.”
Nakoula’s right to free speech was not violated. He wasn’t arrested to shut him up. He was a twice convicted crook who violated his probation and got caught doing so because of the news surrounding his video.
The terms of his bank fraud conviction prohibited him from using an alias and/or engaging in misleading statements, both of which chose to do while making the video. The focus on Nakoula because of the video brought it to the attention of his probation officer.
It is, the whole Benghazi tragedy strikes a bad chord with me. I remember battling liberals on other message boards and their messages were all coordinated were trying to downplay this event. My Spidey sense said something wasn't right here and the liberals threw the Alinsky rules at me, trying to get rid of me. I didn't back down and several weeks later was vindicated when hiLIARy and 0bama were caught in lies about the video.
You would think the liberals would have been remorseful after their leaders were caught in a lie but they just doubled down on the lies and did everything they could to downplay what happened in Benghazi and to marginalize anyone who tried to tell the truth. That's when I realized just how dangerous the left has become and their online brigade set on setting the narratives. The media is the worst part of this whole power hungry cabal and also needs to be brought to justice.
I hope and pray this guy is eventually vindicated and the whole corrupt cabal is brought to justice.

So true, but they will use the Nazi defense, "I was just following orders" It's so sad these Americans cannot see the parallels with one of the worst and evil organizations, ever to come to power.

The only people on earth that believe the video was responsible for Benghazi are Clinton sycophants.

When did this character convert to Christianity? He is NO innocent.. He sold himself as a Jew when he began his film career.
