ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 9 (UPI) -- Minnesota Democrats have filed a lawsuit seeking to have Donald Trump and Mike Pence kicked off the ballot in November after the state party failed to follow election law in selecting the slate of names that will appear.
The matter stems from a legal technicality involving alternate delegates to the electoral college. The Minnesota constitution states electoral college delegates and their alternates must be elected at the party's convention. The GOP picked its electoral college delegates at the party convention on Aug. 24, but did not pick alternates.
When the party submitted its ballot paperwork on the day of the deadline, Aug. 29, it did not include that information. Party leaders were forced to scramble and did not have time to reconvene a statewide convention to fix the oversight, so the slate of alternates was chosen by the party's executive committee, instead.

Look at Barack Obama’s political “career”. The Illinois ‘Rats keeping opponents off the ballot helped Bill Ayers launch that stooge towards the White House.
sounds like someone didn’t follow the rules.
What is the likelihood of this succeeding??
Based on what I’ve read over the years the RATs could very well win this.
Vote Trump 2016
with my Friday afternoon coffee.
Well, they elected Jesse Ventura....
If it was a Rat, the courts would find an endless number of overlapping penumbrae protecting the voting rights of humanity.
And the MN Democrats have also banned write-in candidates because it discriminates against people who can’t write— ie, Democrats.
I have just two words: Frank Lautenberg.
Not that it matters, Minnesota was the only state Mondale won.
So instead of letting the Minnesota voters decide who gets that State’s electoral votes, Democrats want the courts to decide. They always want black-robed wanna-be tyrants to decide what’s good for the People.
We don need no stinkin fair election.
They might have grounds to toss the alternates- in a corrupt court.
But the primary delegates were properly picked and I can not see any court tossing them.
Must not be very confident.
That's actually doubtful.... not that it was "awarded" to Mondale, but whether he actually won it.
When it was all over, Mondale won MN by about 3,200 votes: less than one vote per voting precinct.
But as usual, the very last votes to come in were from the "Iron Range", a heavily Democrat region. They always hold off until every other precinct has reported.
A lot of votes for Mondale suddenly appeared at the last minute.

Yup. The courts have established there WILL be a candidate from each major party on the ballot....
note though the rules only become important to democrats when they demand they be applied to their enemies. they didn’t intend to break the rules. ya know, like Hillary and her server.
