Speaking in Homewood, PA on Friday, Bill Clinton criticized the “coal people” in West Virginia for supporting Donald Trump
.“We all know how [Hillary’s] opponent has done well down in West Virginia and eastern Kentucky,” the former president told the crowd at the Greater Pittsburgh Coliseum. “The coal people don’t like any of us [Democrats] anymore.”
Clinton added that “they all voted for me. I won twice, and they did well.”
“They blame the president when the sun doesn’t come up in the morning now.”

He has always disgusted me. From the minute he showed up on the national scene, I saw one giant sleazebag. In that regard, he’s never disappointed me.

Clinton also criticized coal workers during a rally in Tampa earlier this week, pointing out that they were wearing Trump shirts and “screaming” at him when he visited the state.
He accused them of believing that global warming was a “Chinese hoax,” much like Donald Trump.
He argued that coal workers should realize that the industry was dying and that it was time to focus on solar panels and windmills.
“Coal employment peaked in 1920, coal production peaked in 1950,” he said, adding, “Climate change is real and we’re going to have to change our energy source.”
They let him speak in Homewood? Used to be a Steelworkers town. Now it is nothing but a crime ridden ghetto. Guess which party ruined it?
Making inflammatory remarks about people thrown out of work by the thousands because of policies Hillary supports is not going to win any converts, especially in PA which has a little “coal country” itself.
Bill and Hillary should visit the deep, dark hills of eastern Kentucky.
A life-long political hack like Clinton has probably seen some polling or Democratic analysis that says that coal-country votes no longer weigh as heavy as do those of urban lefties who oppose coal - so the “coal people” no long have any value, and therefore are completely expendable and can be made fun of.
