Mark Levin aka "The Great One" has always been a great constitutional conservative and great friend of Free Republic. Doesn't post much anymore but has had an account here (holdonnow) from nearly the beginning. He stood up for FR when his good friend Hannity was running us down. Also when O'Reilly accused us of not moderating our forum good enough against racism.
I hate to see our good friend getting trashed on FR. I understand why people are upset with him over his position against Trump, but best advice I can give is if you can't stand him, don't listen. I had to quit listening to Beck several years ago after he went nuts, and now rarely tune in Limbaugh. I click on the Mark Levin Show, maybe once per week, just to see if our old trusted ally is back. Sadly, he's still missing in action.
I pray that Rush and Mark come to their senses pretty soon and realize that the primaries are over and the great constitutional conservative Ted Cruz lost. Badly.
We can't go back and we cannot replace our candidate. It's Trump or Hillary. We have to do all we possibly can to make sure Hillary is defeated! And that starts with not bad-mouthing OUR candidate.
There are no do overs and no crying in politics.
Notice that I said "OUR" candidate. This is not like when the GOPe with their big donor bucks installed one of their own sure-losers as the Republican candidate (McCain, Romney, et al) and then told us to suck it up. Which most of us did, even Levin and Limbaugh, because we knew the damage that Obama would do to our country. And he did. And Hillary's damage will be even more severe because she'll be building on Obama's slide into godless socialism and she'll have an immediate shot at packing the courts with godless liberal activists. These judges will be with us for a lifetime. And their rulings for generations. She'll also grant amnesty and voting rights to millions of illegals and throw open our borders to millions more. And then fling the borders wide open for the Muslims. Yup. Sharia law would be coming to a country near you. And the failing Obamacare? No problem. HillaryCare's single payer system will straighten that right out. And she'll save our planet from "climate change" by killing off all our capitalist industries.
Trump was voted in by we the rebellious grassroots voters who are sick and tired and fed up and said NO MAS to the political ruling class and their open borders donors.
This is a voter rebellion and Trump is OUR champion.
We fully intend to crush Hillary and the uniparty in November and reclaim America for AMERICANS!!
Why did we choose Trump to be our champion:
Secure the borders. Build the wall. Enforce the law. End sanctuary cities. Do whatever is humanly possible in deporting as many illegals as we possibly can and or dry up their prospects by enforcing the law and many of them will leave on their own volition.
Slap a temporary moratorium on Muslim immigration until we can find out what in the hell is going on! Meanwhile, bomb the shit out of ISIS. And take their oil. And find out what's going on in the mosques.
Rebuild the military!
Throw out Obama's illegal/unconstitutional executive orders and executive agreements. Repeal Obamacare!
Get a handle on trade deals and make sure Americans come first!
Cut the taxes, cut the spending, cut the regulations, cut the government; return the powers and functions reserved to the states back to the states per the constitution and the 10th amendment.
And it's not just about the constitution and national security:
End the ridiculous war on coal, gas & oil, bring back manufacturing. Drill, baby, drill; mine, baby, mine; build, baby, build, farm, baby, farm, produce, baby, produce. The Business of America is business.
Strengthen our economy and create a business friendly environment!
Jobs, baby, jobs!!
Set our people free and let them produce and prosper!!

Levin and the National Review chattering classes crowd are playing a dangerous game: Heads I win, tails you lose. Trump wins “We are the Constitutional Conservative opposition to NY Liberal POTUS Trump.” Trump loses it will be: “Seee I told you so, he couldn’t win.” It’s transparent to me, anyway.
I find these games disgusting giving the stakes with a Hillary SCOTUS but these chattering class types care not one whit about that obviously.

Jim... I agree with your assessment on Mark...however I find it ironic considering you banned those of us who spoke out in favor of Cruz over Trump during the primaries.
Your basically saying that Mark is allowed his opinion...while longtime free person like myself werent. For the record... I am now 100% behind Trump...There’s no other good option.

Exactly, and it doesn't take a sophisticated political observer to recognize doomsday. They know it, so the question for me is why the intentional sabotage? I think I know the answer.

I cannot listen to Levin for now. Let Trump win, then Levin will have to adapt.
Levin wants to be the “true conservative” opposition to Trump. He won’t be any different than he is now. Constant attacks on Trump.
The key to talk radio is to be prepared and control the conversation. IF I call a talk show, I have the key points I need to hit on paper and structure my call around them. Typically the host will throw a question that, if he or she is being called out about something, is designed to deflect or change the topic. I always answer great question, but that wasn't the purpose of my call or question.
The downside to any talk show is the host always has the ability to have the last word and they can either support or destroy what you just was on the air discussing with their final comments.
If Levin posted here, what he speaks online, he’d get the Zot.

If Hillary wins she’ll give amnesty to 40 million illegals . then it’s game over for America. they’ll get to import 100 million more socialists from the 3rd world “their family” . And Hillary will import millions of Muslims from syria and other countries. She will have enough voters to turn the USA into a socialist state then.
McConnell and Co used "Citizen's United" Against us and if my memory is correct it wasn't just pukes like Schumer who wrote the IRS to look into Tea Parties, Didn't Linsey and McCain do so also?
So the Irony is a Blue Collar Billionare is doing what us Rogue Elements couldn't because they quashed us. It really is Schadenfreude, as I revel in their angst as Trump does what we wanted after they thwarted us...

Mark has said numerous times in the past that we must reverse course or lose our country. Using his own logic, that makes Trump the guy and as a bonus Trump owes nothing to the republicrats.
I can understand Mark having differences with Trump and I am fine with it, but by any objective measure Trump is far better than Hillary. One of the biggest surprises and disappointments for me during this crazy election has been the vitriolic attitude of Levin towards Trump.
The most anti-establishment conservative thinker absolutely hates the most anti-establishment candidate who is saying many of the same things Levin preached. Go figure.

No he doesn’t. Why is HE right? Because he insults his callers and shouts others opinions down?
I think Levin is WRONG on tariffs and trade. Just the “threat” of tariffs by someone you believe will actually do it, may be all that is needed. The tariffs themselves may never be applied. If some messages need to be sent, so be it. When the sanctioned ones come around to our way of thinking, we can reduce or remove them.
Levin thinks he’s so smart, a Mr. know it all. He isn’t. He’s a blowhard just like Rush.
He is conducting a vendetta against OUR nominee. There is no excuse for his behavior. He deserves NO RESPECT.
Respect is EARNED and can easily be lost.

Glenn Beck used to be a respected guy. Should we still respect HIM now? How is he any different from Levin? At least Beck has the excuse that he is batshit crazy.
