I didnt think he was that old. Then I remembered how old I am...Funny how it creeps up on you like that. I was thinking, "He's 83? No way!" And then it made sense why I hadn't seen Wilder in a film for quite some time.

Another one passes. RIP Gene Wilder.

Who would photograph the poor man in that condition?
Whoever snapped this gem, perhaps.

If the photo’s date is correct, I believe that’s Karen Boyer, not Gilda Radner.

RIP Mr. Wilder. Watching him and Peter Boyle Puttin' On The Ritz is funny past all explanation. If you have to ask, you won't get it.
And no, I don't think Blazing Saddles could be made today, which is a perfect reflection of just how crippling, constipated, anti-art, and anti-intellectual Political Correctness really is.

That was changed in later versions of the book. By the time the film came around, itd be pretty unlikely that any remnants of the pygmies remained. They pretty looked like John Boehner.

I know you mean well, but I think Gene looks very well-kept, proud and noble in that photo.

Such GORGEOUS eyes that guy had! I’ll forever remember him from The Little Prince because my dearly loved brother (now long gone) took me to Radio City Music Hall on my 19th birthday to see it. Wilder has had a soft spot in my heart ever since.

Harrison Ford was in the Frisco Kid, too, I’d forgotten about that!

I’m almost 61 and I get the shock of my life every time I look in the mirror (no kidding). I still FEEL 25, and I still run 10ks and work as a trainer...not fair! I don’t mind getting older, I just don’t like looking old!

Those photos just remind me of Michael Moore hanging around on the front lawn of a dementia-riddled Charlton Heston, shooting film and taking photos.
Even most Liberals seemed to regard that as cruel.

He’s with the love of his life now.
RIP Gene and thanks for the many great laughs over the years. You had a terrific gift and you shared it with millions.

What in the world did he ever manifest in his life to support the notion that he is resting in peace or reunited with Gilda? He faces God the Judge - either with a Savior/Advocate or without one - as will we all. This is the time to meditate on our own ends and what will become of us when we leave this realm, not provide deceptive platitudes.
