The 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season is heating up. Two tropical systems are taking aim at the United States. Tropical Depression Eight (Hermine) is expected to brush the Outer Banks of NC. Tropical Depression Nine (Ian) is in the Gulf of Mexico, anticipated to affect the Florida coast.

That’s probably the closest buoy to whatever this #9 is or is going to be.
I heard of a conference call done last last week by various weather experts on future storm warnings for the Keys and they thought they knew but predictions didn’t pan out. With sheer all over the place and near unpredictable and weak steering currents its gotta be tough to predict. Aside from the fact that this thing is all over the place it’s so big.
watch out for head cutters in the outer bands.....
Problem is we really need Molasses off Key Largo and Sombrero off Marathon and they are both out,really pathetic.

Looks like Sombrero Key has been out since 8/10/2015. Indeed, that is pathetic. Molasses Reef buoy occasionally sputters data. Nuts!
They should let fisherman buy the entire buoy system we could maintain it and even give it more info.The info we get out of the average buoy is half or less of what they should be generating.

That’s funny. Unfortunately, I believe the next name has to begin with an I or J. Can’t remember for sure but I think the H was taken for something named Hermaine, whatever that is. At the rate they are going, they should reach Z by the time this season is over without a single storm reaching landfall. But that will give them a jump start to start 2017 off with talking about all the storms we had in 2016. Gotta keep that global warming bs going - don’t you know.

We need some rain here in SE, S central va.
I live south of Houston. I doubt TD9 will make such a radical turn to the North as shown. But I’m ready for it if it comes here.
