San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick says he refused to stand during the national anthem Friday due to his views on the country's treatment of racial minorities.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media after Friday's game. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."

Sadly, most SF 49ers fans probably agree with him. But WAIT, HE’S a ‘minority’ isn’t he? How was HE allowed to make it in this country? I thought he said America oppresses minorities?

Not only is he a worthless POS, he sucks supremely at being a quarterback. Even the rancidly bad 49ers will be releasing him soon. Say goodbye you moron, hope you enjoy flipping burgers at McDonalds.

By next year he will be just another unemployed idiot with no marketable skills and no prospects for future employment. After 8 years of Obamanation he will have lots of company.

Well, this 49ers fan certainly doesn't. As far as I'm concerned, if he likes sitting so much, he can sit his a$$ on the bench the whole game, every game.

Burger flippers perform a job that actually serves a purpose. Professional athletes and performers are zeros.

This is not okay. I’m sick of men-children who earn millions of dollars to play a game and don’t have a clue as to the behavior that should go with it.

Let me see if I understand this; he doesn’t like the way our country treats minorities, and yet this same country has afforded him - a minority - to be paid millions as a pro ball player.

Another pampered prince...

Does anyone remember when athletes gave up their jobs and joined the service? Ted Williams did it twice.

If it is bigger than football, put your money where your mouth is and quit football. Become a community organizer in Chicago where a Hell of a lot more murderers walk around.
