Civil rights laws that applied to private transactions, as high minded as they were, were a red carpet leading to this kind of thing. Where do you find a place to put a barrier?
Commercial reputation would have achieved virtually all this without engendering underhandedness.
Either one, though urging it would warrant a lower rung in Hell.
It’s hard to even believe we are having this discussion. That and bakers getting fined for not baking a cake, kids getting told they can use whatever restroom they want, arrest threatened for folks who say climate change is a scam, etc. I can’t even recognize the USA anymore.
It always HAS been “urging it.” A boy might want to “act” like a girl but the idea of turning the boy into a girl isn’t from the boy... it’s from grown ups.

This Obama diktat is aimed at gynocologists and urologists.
It would require doctors to perform procedures, and even surgeries, **on demand** from transgenders, in violation of both the doctors’ religious beliefs AND their medical judgement.
According to the article, Obama’s order says doctors may no longer refuse to perform, for example, “medically necessary” hysterectomies for “trans men” ie biological women.
IOW, according to normal (sane) medical practice, a doctor might recommend a hysterectomy when a woman’s uterus is diseased; OTOH he might refuse to perform the procedure on demand, as a means of sterilization, cautioning the woman that it is permanent; she might change her mind and want children later.
He relies on his best judgement and ethics. Some doctors would choose to do it for the money. But most would refuse.
Now, under Obamalaw, a mentally ill woman who believes herself a man and demands a hysterectomy—or worse, a parent demands it for a child—and the doctor cannot refuse.
Obama has decreed that if the tranny FEELS it’s “medically necessary” then it is.
This is similar to requiring doctors to perform abortions under “women’s health care.”
That’s what the doctors and states are suing to stop.
The doctor is the one who should determine what is “medically necessary” not the dictator.
The article also notes that the Obama’s directive at present only applies to doctors in private practice; the Medicare / Medicaid committee has decreed that the efficacy of tranny surgery as treatment for gender dysphoria is “inconclusive.”
Reading between the lines, though, the committee probably fears a taxpayer revolt.
Gotta force the doctors on board, first.
Those of you who are saying this isn’t a problem “yet” and “it won’t affect many people” need to wake up.
The LGBTers said that about gay marriage, too. They said if you’re not gay just don’t marry a gay and it won’t affect you.

Perhaps a Constitutional amendment: The federal government CANNOT initiate a lawsuit.
And when, after a doctor is coerced to do a surgery he opposes on medical grounds, under threat of imprisonment and financial ruin, the surgery has negative effects, or the patient regrets it, the doctor will be immune from lawsuit?
