There are numerous Class M planets in the galaxy. The inhabitants of those planets are humanoid and speak English. And they have attractive females who grab the attention of Captain Kirk.

Glorious.  Another planet for the Democrats to turn gender neutral, move members of Islam to, and if at all possilbe facilitate the rape and butchering of any life there.

Earthlike? There are over 500 attributes that makes earth livable for this species. At such a distance most of their proof seems to be hallucinations.

4.6 million miles from a flaring red dwarf star so it’s atmosphere, if it ever had one, has long been stripped away.

It’ll be tide locked meaning the same face of the planet is always facing the star. And it probably has tidal heating as well meaning the surface will be molten much like Jupiter’s moon Io.

So earth-like it’s not.

and one that could be reachable by tiny, unmanned space probes before the end of the century, in time for some people alive today to witness it.

WTF? 25 trillion miles away. End of the century 84 years away. That's a speed of 297,619,047,619 miles per year. divide by 8760 the number of hours in a year and you get 33,974,777 miles per hour (about 5% of light speed). No technology we have can get a probe up to that speed, and remember whatever we launch as to climb out of the solar gravity well, so even more energy is needed to get it up to speed than is represented by the simple newtonian e = 1/2MV2

A plant that is tidally locked (one face always to the sun, is not earth-like. I doubt it has atmosphere because the frozen night side would be incredibly cold and the atmosphere would freeze to ice.
